I'm starting to have a feeling that mounting a cam facing the front while driving is necessary. To protect myself, my car as well as occupant inside my vehicle if ICBC wants prove.
I will be setting one up shortly. A friend runs Autolismo and the kits are pretty reasonably priced (anywhere from $50-110). Small change considering protection it can provide in the event you have an accident.
same, but make sure u have a camera that records. 170 degrees, so u can tell whats happening at a wider angle.
edit: dealextr has quite a few options. autolismo is basically dealext stuff plus u get a year warranty with deal ex.
this came in handy , when i saw a courier driving crazy on broadway, in and out, cutting people off....extracted picture /video , sent to company, got email from manager sayin "ill have the driver in for re-education"
Or you meet some girl at the club, cum inside of her, find out shes only in grade 12, so you buy a Prada bag for her to make things right, she finds out the bag is a fake and decides to have the kid

I've been looking at a dash camera called "Black Box" DR-1000. Wide angle, audio recording, gps location with Google Map support, tilt/shock/level sensors. All in a somewhat easy to use program. $150.

I had some girl come into the busser station the other day trying to make out with every staff member and then pull down her pants and asked for someone to stick a dick in her (at least she shaved).

well hd is useful to catch license plates, cuz ive tired setting mine to record with vga, yes it saves memory but you can barely make out anything in the vid
Wow... thanks for bringing these up. I always thought these systems would cost upwards of 200 dollars....
My next gizmo for my car... or my family's cars
honestly you dont need hd, some hd is interpolated from vga
Exactly. When I was looking into dash cameras, I saw a lot of HD ones going for $2xx. They all were just HD interpolated by software. In other words, fake HD, not high quality at all. You're better off using the VGA mode if you have these kinds.
Interesting, does it just memory wipe when you shut off the car and start recording again when you're moving?
i heard of one that records segments of like 15 minutes and makes it into 1 video file, and when it runs out of memory (depending on your memory card capacity), it will start rewriting the files one by one from the beginning.
i havent researched into these, so there might be other systems out there ;p
EDIT: worded that poorly. it makes a new video clip file for every 15 minutes it records. and erases old clips when memory card runs out of space ;]
