If only this were more affordable. EV's are way too expensive right now.

Could you imagine being behind one of these things in bumper to bumper with two kids starring you down the whole time.

Would have to make a lane change ASAP

Love the rear facing seats. Very 90's station wagon. Wonder why they don't make more of them?

i disagree, these start at $49k.

it's not affordable but it's not aimed at the prius market either. this is to appeal to the potential 5 series/E class buyers and fits right in their ballpark.

so i don't think this is expensive at all.

It may seem affordable now, until you need a new battery and need it shipped back to Tesla for a 30K+ repair.

Bricked Tesla roadsters anyone......

To be fair, the tested Model S will start at ~$100K in Canada. The $49K version is not as powerful, fast, and has a shorter range.

My dad is actually thinking about the Model S. I told him to get the Fisker Karmer over the Model S though. Model S looks alright but I think the Fisker Karma nails it

Sitting backwards... I'd get nauseous sitting like that for long journeys.

Looks like the base price in Canada is $64,500, versus $49,900 in the US. Blah...

My family used to have a wagon when I was younger that had the rear facing seats. We'd make faces at all the cars behind us.

To be fair, they're probably no less safe than many hatchbacks and SUV's where the rear seats are literally leaning against the rear hatch of the vehicle.

I actually like the look of this car, but that LCD console would drive me crazy. At least with proper knobs and buttons, you can adjust things without having to even look what you're doing. With a touch screen, there's no ability to do that as you're required to look at it each and every time. However the Fisker Karma, I believe, starts out at over $100,000, so the Tesla S certainly comes out in top if you're concerned about pricing.

I actually like the car less because of the extra 2 seats. I think the car would be better if they eliminated those considerations from the design and made the car shorter/lighter and thus more efficient/responsive.

Because putting passenger seats in the crush zone of a car is a very bad idea?

I would hate to be a passenger in that area should a car decide to rear end the back
