The thing is there are way too many psychos out there these days. Step on someones toes even slightly and you can't predict what is going to happen. It is better to avoid it if you can. Posted via RS Mobile | I understand what you are saying, and it is true to a certain extent, but being attacked twice within months is not just a coincidence.

Yes, I'm on guard in regard (reguard? ) to muggers if I'm walking around the DTES at night or, if you live in Richmond, drivers but I've never had to worry that Agent 47 or Altair is coming to get me because I don't keep company with people that would kill me for stepping on their toes.
Say what you want but the guy was targeted so he was targeted for a reason.

I cant find the reference where the police labeled this kid 'known to police' because of his 2 speeding tickets. Can anyone throw up a link or video?

but outside of that one broadcast i haven't heard the same again
if you can find a video for the local cbc news from thursday it'll be in there

From reading the province news paper today, apparently Manraj was stabbed a few months ago and he was cooperating with the police with their investigation. The article stated that he was being continually harassed by the group linked to the stabbing leading up to his death.
Also, the Indo Canadian media has been covering the story quite extensively. One of the media outlets had some of Manrajs family speak. They stated that he received a phone call from a close friend earlier that night and he ended up going somewhere with him. This was the setup and ultimately led to his beating. He told his younger sisters that he was going out with this friend and he was known to the family.
At 10:30 that night he was supposed to pick up his mom from work. When he didn't pick her up, she phoned his cell but no response. She called the house and his sisters told her that he had left the house 2 hours earlier with the friend.
Mom eventually made it home from work. She ended up calling the friend he went out with no he didn't answer his phone. She called the friends house and spoke to his mom. She told Manrajs mom that he had some sort of accident and had been taken to the hospital.
Again, this is what was reported by indo Canadian media. Take it for what its worth. Posted via RS Mobile |

Cst Montague did state he 'was known to police' in the press release shortly after the killing. He also referenced loose gang affiliations. Posted via RS Mobile |

I seriously can't stand the indo-Canadian media, they basically report gossip as "real" news and have zero respect for the victims families so I would take whatever they write or say with a grain of salt.

personally i wasnt that close to manraj but rest in peace, and all my condolences to his family. | Seriously, how can you "throw" a sword at someone and almost cut off someone's head? I don't think they even try that in Hollywood. However it happened, it's obvious the perpetrator had a very serious and planned killing intent, can't remotely misconstrue it as a "freak accident".

There's always an element of risk in life. I know a guy who was nearly killed when his girlfriend's ex got out of prison and found him. The ex had been broken up with the convict for like 10 years before he stalked dude and kicked his ass.
I have some level of guard up, always!

so complete speculation at this point im sure but from reading this thread sounds like it MAY BE a case of the first time he was stabbed just due to association and the second time for snitchig. if so i find these types of attacks the worst because it means the person was tryig to cooperate with the law but the law could not protect them Posted via RS Mobile |
