This is just getting funny. Funny that people aren't getting it, and to drive the limit, and funny that 140kph isn't even fast. Yes, it's illegal, but they make it sound like it's so much faster than it really is. I cruise at 120kph on the new #1 east of the Port Mann, so does everyone else and it feels slow. The new S2S feels the same way. One blip of the throttle and I'd be doing 140kph and it would still feel slow.

Wait,... did he say they were doing 142kph in the chopper and the cars were pulling away? I wonder, did he do a true airspeed check and have a set heading point further back to do a groundspeed check? Based on that video, I know those curves pretty well and that does not look like 140kph. Just because the chopper was doing 142kph does not mean the cars were. Theres this thing called air density, temp, wind etc. that effect all of this.

Pretty sure everyone in Vancouver with a 90's sports car is a member here. So, I doubt it will matter. Just show the member count. Now if it was say... VancouverCivics/Dubberz or whatever and 10 of their members got caught speeding it would be more of a big deal because that is a much smaller forum/group.

While you are right, there are a select few people who are on here a ton and major forum contributors. It tends to reflect badly on the community and put some of the events under the spotlight when there is an association made. I'm not blaming anybody regardless, everyone here has had their car 40 over at some point somewhere sometime in their lives. Just sucks it became some sort of high profile event over something relatively minor due to the boners the cops have over "busting street racers"
Revscene. How could that possibly not be the first thing you assumed?
Because I'm sure the first thing that will pop into peoples minds when the see the story is "that damn revscene"... The majority of people don't know shit about cars, when they see a story about some imports being caught they will think "damn asain kids" or "street racers". I think you think revscene is bigger than it is. Posted via RS Mobile

FUCKING CHRIST. You sure know how to take things out of context. Its happened before. Shit got in the news about "RS beatdown crew", people referred to it as a street racing site, got put under a microscope, and easily could have had a negative effect on meets and such. I'm not writing this for a fucking argument about "the size of revscene" This thread has brought out way more stupid than usual.

Revscene has been in the news numerous times showing both good and bad examples of the car community.

For fucks sake, I know that. But as stories evolve, more info gets added, then and association CAN BE MADE IN A NEWS ARTICLE OR REPORT. Its happened before, I don't understand whats so complicated here.
So. Many. Rustled. Jimmies.
By "size" we r refering to, who actually knows what "revscene" is. Not the actual number of people on it. LOL Posted via RS Mobile

So if majority of people don't know what RS is, do you want their first impression when they find out to be that RS is full of street racing punks?

Yeah, those noob fuckin' cops and their whirlybird, I bet they have no idea how to measure or judge speed or take environmental factors into account. Probably their first time ever with their feet off the ground. Besides, all these newfangled air machines, there's no way they could possibly know their own airspeed accurately - that's futuristic Star Trek shit right there.

This made the news because the cops sent it to the Province. It made the news because they had to brag that they pulled over a GROUP of people. This shows the "taxpayers" that their money is being spent accordingly. People get impounds on the S2S on daily basis.
I guess the popo is trying to send a message that if you think it's OK to "speed" on the S2S at night, you better think again.
I'm talking about horseshoe bay dr exit that connects to marine dr via the roundabouts
Doesn't matter, because Eagleridge is before that exit as well. Eagleridge is the exit immediately after Sunset Marina as you head south - it gives access to the townhouses that were built there. Next exit after that is the old hwy/Horseshoe Bay exit.
