TIME AND DATE CONFIRMED!!!
Ever wondered what's your blood type? Well, here's your chance!
This June, Revscene Cares is proud to host a very special meet and hope our members will be able to help us out! Canadian Blood Services has a shortage in blood donations during their summer months as many people are off on holidays. Blood is what keeps us alive and over half of patients require blood or blood products in medical emergencies and treatment.
Below is an average measurement of approx how much blood is needed to save a life:
The kindness of others is who and what are supporting us during those times of need. Your donation can help a sick child on the brink of losing his/her precious little life, someone's mother battling cancer, someone's father who just suffered a heartattack, or even you who just suffered a car accident on your way home.
Lets give back to those who need us.
Date: June 22, 2013
Time: 10:30AM
Location: 4750 OAK STREET, VANCOUVER BC
Please confirm by: June 12, 2013
The time and date are currently tentative as to book an appointment as a group, we need to have more than 5 people to sign up. Time is also dependant on this so the earlier I know of a solid number, the quicker I can book the time with the clinic.

At the time of donation, you will be asked a number of questions to determine your eligibility. For example:

-For cleaning or filling: until the day after treatment
-For extraction, root canal or dental surgery: 72 hours provided there is full recovery
A cold, flu or sore throat
-Full recovery
Had ear or body piercing or tattooing
-6 months
-Travel (dependant on where you've been. Please call 1-888-236-6283)
Donating blood does not put you at risk of disease. All needles are sterile, used only once and discarded. The usual blood collection - a "unit" - is about half a litre, or one pint. Your body soon replaces all the blood you donate.
