Either way, the whole situation is probably fucked since we are canuck fans.
Trade Lu and CS shits the bed within the next 5 years "STUPID MG shoulda kept LU!!!"
Trade CS and Lu has 1 bad game "STUPID MG shoulda unloaded Lu while he could"

Just a bunch of jumbled tweets
Bob McKenzie @TSNBobMcKenzie 16m
Horton's agent Paul Krepelka: "Nathan has told BOS he wants to explore free agency. It's not a financial issue, just a decision to move on."
Bob McKenzie @TSNBobMcKenzie 18m
Nathan Horton has informed Boston he's moving on and exploring UFA. His UFA rights are now available in trade.
for those who wanted Horton
Bob McKenzie @TSNBobMcKenzie 30m
Not sure what term Rask's new deal will be but I'd count on it being in the $7M/year range. Rask's agent Bill Zito to meet B's this weekend.
Bob McKenzie @TSNBobMcKenzie 32m
On potential BOS moves, B's have contract/financial work to do. Bergeron likely to get an 8 yr extension worth $6.5M+/yr.
------------
GMMG made his bed and now hes gotta sleep in it; he had the chance to trade Lu and he didn't..... again, him being TOO patient and over-calculating seems to always screw him over
And Philly confident with Mason as their #1 (as per TSN)

b's are screwed cap wise with those contracts. i kind of have a feeling lu is going to be a bitch even if schnieder is traded and hes the number 1 again, he simply doesnt want to be here now. also colorado's want to pick drouin is pretty obvious in my opinion.

Apparently Seguin is on the block.
Would you do a Schneids for Seguin straight up if they can't sign Rask?

Iain MacIntyre @imacVanSun 3m:
Canucks silent on reports Schneider in play. Gillis meets reporters in 90 min. Does bizarro Luongo saga end with him as VAN No. 1?

I'd want Lucic for Schneider straight up though.

If Schneider and Edler are in play as media are reporting right now, this could be an opportunity for the Canucks to "rebuild on the fly."

It only makes sense to keep luongo. cs is way more in demand in the market.
luongo not better be traded for a 5th rounder 2013 and a 2nd rounder 2014

John Shannon @JSportsnet 40m
Me: Just was to confirm that you will not use CBO on Luongo? Mike Gillis: I just don't know yet.
John Shannon @JSportsnet 53m
Gillis confirms that Cory Schneider is in play. Plenty of interest. Also heard Alex Edler is in play?

Chris Tanev has hired a player agent to assist him in completing negotiations for a new Vancouver Canucks contract.
Tanev, 23, a pending restricted free agent, will be officially represented by Vancouver-based Ross Gurney, whose NHL clients include Norris Trophy winning defenceman Duncan Keith of the Blackhawks, Pittsburgh winger Tanner Glass and Colorado forward David Jones.
The young Canucks defenceman had begun negotiations with the Canucks with the assistance of his father, Mike, in mid-May and the two sides have had preliminary discussions. At the time, Mike Tanev said that if at some point in the process professional advice was needed, there would be no hesitation to bring an agent on board.
"In the best interests of Christopher, we have decided to get an agent involved at this stage of the game," said Mike Tanev on Monday morning from his Toronto home. "His expertise will hopefully bring this to a quick conclusion. (Chris) wants to play his best hockey in Vancouver. He loves it out there."
Two key dates are coming up. The Canucks must make Tanev a qualifying offer by July 2 to retain his rights – which, of course, they will do. And, if no deal is done by July 5 Tanev becomes an RFA and can field an offer sheet from another NHL club.
Tanev missed the final 10 games of the regular season and the Canucks’ four playoff games with a high ankle sprain suffered on April 6 in Calgary. He’s mostly recovered but still has not been medically cleared by the Canucks.
Tanev has still been able to work out regularly for the third summer with fitness coach Gary Roberts in Toronto, though he is restricted from some drills.
Tanev, one of the Canucks’ most dependable blueliners, is completing his three-year entry level contract that paid him $900,000 annually at the NHL level.
In 92 games with the Canucks, Tanev is 2-8-10 and is a plus14.

Holy fuck, I have a feeling this off season's gonna be crazy.
If Schneider does get traded to Edmonton, it better be Yakupov, RNH, Hall, or Eberle coming back.
There are also rumors of Edler being moved. If someone like Couturier comes back, like others have suggested, I'd do it.

Edler is potential #1 D man and Ryan is just a top six winger.
Luongo could probably fetch us Hemsky and Schenider maybe Eberle both straight up

Wait so now that Gillis has said Schneider is movable, does that mean Luongo is likely to stay? Why would other teams even try for Luongo anymore now when they can get a similar goalie without the massive contract?

^^ I think there are major cap issues with that. Looking at the cap issue, I don't see any way to bring in Eberle.

Luongo could probably fetch us Hemsky and Schenider maybe Eberle both straight up | You have potential when you're 18 - 24 year old
Edler is 27 you should be in your prime or close to that. He's been playing shitty for the past 2 seasons.
