Hey now... none of that... unless youve got somethin to show thats better than a mustang.... zip it... an theres been a news break.... celica's arent better than mustangs... so no... youve got nothin ;) but its ok to try... really

RedCeli 12-17-2003 01:33 AM

While your car is sitting there with no clutch, I'm faster. And unless its a 5.0, I'm still faster. As for being a chick car...I see a lot more chicks drinving mustangs than Celicas. Even the new mustangs are all old woman drivers. Men who want domestic buy GM cuz they know what a car is.

Festus351 12-17-2003 01:37 AM

less talky...more taste in cars ;)

Exactly...that's exactly what I was talking about with leaving the rustang off the road. :)

Festus351 12-17-2003 02:04 AM

it would prolly eat the celica... it's a 5.0HO Cobra shitloads of torque and 235hp stock to boot, oh yeah i'll be putting an X pipe on it too, bye bye 4 stock restrictive cats;)

SmokeyTheBandit 12-17-2003 10:59 AM

the lugnuts on my camaro require more torque than your celica makes...

(Ford) Engines: 2.3 liter @ 88 bhp. Weight of 28xx lbs.
(Toyota) Horsepower 140 hp @ 6,400 rpm Weight of 2,4xx lb.

Even if the 5.0 is a nice engine, expensive to work on. Every car has it's godsent though right? What was the specs on the all-track celica? 200 HP turbocharged with still around 24-26xx pounds? Not to mention it's easy to get some really nice gains from that car with only turning up the boost just a little, little bit.

danny, was that brakestand under the highway by seclusion bay?

SmokeyTheBandit 12-17-2003 03:32 PM

i was gonna say.. you go under that tunnel and it will take you to this little lodge/restaurant.. they got a gas pump there to.. been a while

dunno what its called tho

noooo... neverrr:D , yeah it was, we tried at the U turn route tunnel, but it was too sandy, so we went to the seclusion bay one and yeah that was that

the celica is what, a 1.8L? and makes only 140hp... thats pretty fucking brutal if you ask me. a 1000cc superbike puts more BHP stock than a celica and weighs like 500-600 with rider

500cc GP bikes make 200hp (restricted) NA bhp

351rusty 12-17-2003 03:46 PM

im not even goin into the mustang arguement..im too lazy to type..the brake/clutch stand was prolly on the u turn route tunnel im guessin..not Elkart lodge...ya i locked my keys in my car at work..didnt get it unlocked till after work..so its time to eat i think

So your saying the 2.3L Mustang which makes 88 hp is better off than the 1.8L celica delivering 140 hp? When were we talking about bikes though? Those are are an entire different matter. Harsh thing to happen Rusty, I've had that happen to me.

SmokeyTheBandit 12-17-2003 08:31 PM

bikes and cars are totally different

but how does an inline 4, 4 stroke, gas, 16 valve application vs inline 4, 4 stroke, gas, 16 valve application differ?

Glad to see that we agreed that bikes and cars are totally different, however why did you bring it up?

An inline engine is long and narrow. In small cars in particular, a long, narrow engine mounted transversely can allow a very short hood. In an air-cooled engine, the inline configuration is sometimes harder to cool.
A flat engine is wide and flat. This gives it a low center of gravity.

You can find these answers on the Internet, why did you ask them? To see if I had the expertise of engines? Because your angry at me because I use grammer or something? Because I enjoy how reliable the Toyota Celica's 2ZZGE engine works?

SmokeyTheBandit 12-17-2003 09:13 PM

lol, relax buddy

im not angry at you.. and i think i have some idea how an engine works. but in the end, a 1L gxr puts down more HP than your enjoyable 1.8L toyota motor.

after all, i have rebuilt an engine completely. helped rebuild 2 others, and have worked on a few bike engines.

i dont much have a thing for the car spectrum anymore.. i've always wanted serious performance.. superbikes was the answer
