i paid like .69 for gas this morning? at the north shore petro... wtf? lol

RiPTiDE 03-02-2004 11:06 PM

The Husky just before the north campus (can't remember the street?)
is 78.5.....cheapest in town I think?
God 6 years ago if you were to tell me that I would think 78.5 per liter was
"cheap" I would have kicked you in the sack!

Gas prices suck! :(

RedCeli 03-02-2004 11:25 PM

Yeah, I just got home and I noticed the gas stations have signs up "83.5". So after the 3.5, its 80 flat. I have almost a full tank, so I should be able to last til it drops again. Although spring is almost here, so its just about time for the price to stay high.

fourtirefire 03-02-2004 11:55 PM

bah humbug.. gas prices are a rip off... i wonder if they have any sort of proper factual reasoning behind all these price hikes... it's a load of BS if you ask me... oh well.. at least i can run regular gas now

clutch5oh 03-03-2004 12:07 AM

i miss the gas wars.

Gunn 03-03-2004 08:01 AM

People always complain about prices going up in the spring. They think that because there's more people traveling, the gas stations are raising the price to rip them off. But with the increased demand in the spring, there is legitimate reasoning for the increased price.

Jen 03-03-2004 09:36 AM

Not all gas stations hike prices during tourist season. Most of the time when the price gets hiked, its because it actually does cost more to get ahold of (drivers going on strike, blockades, gas wars, etc.). My brother runs Heffley Creek store, and never once has he hiked it to take advantage of travellers.
