Driving down to vancouver yeaterday wasnt bad, hit snow about 15 mins before and after the toll booth, other than that it was 160km smooth sailing. Ive never driven there by myself, it wasnt bad, took me 4 hours and 20 mins from mission park coopers to the vancouver airport parking lot.

Comming back today was just rain as a mofo. took 5.5 hours cuz the gf didnt let me speed in the rain.

Gaver hard in van last night tho:)

what did you end up driving in? exploder?

SpooSports 03-07-2004 10:32 PM

moms 96 stratus.......did the trick

spent 75 bucks on gas for the 2 days, which included some driving around in van

not all bad

fourtirefire 03-07-2004 10:49 PM

thats not too bad on gas then, it has the 4cyl right?

yeehaw i've finally unleashed the power that's been hiding in my car...
i started thinking yesterday and figured i'd try some tweaking... ended up being my cam timing was advanced by one or two notches.. i couldn't tell exactly how much... but put it back to where it should be and now its bling there's actually low end power, and it pulls pretty decently upto 6g
whats sad is that it's been like this ever since i rebuilt my engine 25,000km ago... and i thought it was just normal to be that slow

I think Stratus are 6 Cyl aren't they?

I Fubared one of my computers :(. I was trying to install a second OS on a different partition using partition magic and now I have no operating system and I stand a good chance of losing over 6000 songs unless I can somehow fix it...

yours is stuck up? sounds like the antenna motor is shot. and just to clarify, i didn't remove my antenna... i just installed a switch that allowed me to override the power antenna, cuz i hated how it was up even if i was using the CD player. with the switch i can still put it up if i want to listen to the radio (i don't, but i still wanted the option :D). it involved taking out the center console and stereo, clipping the antenna wire (yellow with a green stripe) and wiring in the switch. i wired my switch into one of the accessory punch-out blocks by the handbrake. i really dig it. it's taking some getting used to as far as not hearing the antenna sound when i turn off the car.

btw, i've heard that doing the S2000 conversion isn't as easy as just unbolting one and putting in the other. and i've also heard that the reception from the S2000 antenna sucks.

did a nice smooth 180 + run down the highway from the vertse last night. first time in a wile i have gone that fast in my car. and its prolly was last for a long time too. the road looked nice and dry, and there was no one else on the highway.

I don't see how it could be if you have a motorized antenna. My antenna was stationary, so the S2K conversion was easy for me.
