Just a heads up....
i usualy dont either. it was my bad, but the civic we were in isnt exacly fast, and i got a little exited over how the weather is clearing up. and i didnt ask teh guy if he wanted to race for money, i just asked him if he wanted to race. sugar loaf is a nice strait streatch in the middle of no where where no one is. so wthats y i asked him to go there.

you mean like oxy acetelyne? or would propane do? cuz i have 2 propane torch attachments that you just screw onto a propane bottle, which should be more than enough for soldering fatty wire

fourtirefire 03-16-2004 11:39 PM

FUCK.. i have this exhaust leak.. right at the flange on my manifold to downpipe area... so i got a new gasket to put in there and put it in tonite, go to tighten it on there with the impact gun... snap the fucking stud in my manifold... so now i'm going to run open manifold for a lil fun before i go to fucking jerrys tomorrow and get them to throw in a new stud and weld me up a new downpipe(which i always was meaning to do, as it is pinner stock size till the flex joint)

but fuckin eh... more goddamn money spent on the shitbox... this is a pissoff

Dmanm 03-17-2004 08:18 AM

i only have a pencil torch and torch lighter.. both used for perfectly legal purposes ;)

fourtirefire 03-17-2004 11:56 AM

80 bucks for a new stud and piping from the manifold to flex joint

clutch5oh 03-17-2004 12:39 PM

it cost me 50 bucks to have the same thing done, on both my pipes :D and thats just the second time they have ever seen me.

clutch5oh 03-17-2004 05:31 PM

man, so i go outside to try and work on the car. first problem- cant find a 13mm wrench cause my tools are who knows where from other ppl using them. so then i finaly find one after terring everythig apart, go under the car to start wrenching, and teh fucking bolts wont budge, and the bolt head is starting to strip a little bit. i tryed hitting it with a hammer and everything. got a bunch of shit in my eyes from it too. so tomor i get to go use the dynatech shop and use all sorts of fun toys to fix the damn thing.

shit i have to go lower my car.

proshoraca 03-17-2004 08:28 PM

ya having access to a complete full shop with 3 hoists/computerized allignment tool/what ever you ever need(minus a dyno) whenever wanted, is appreciated sometimes :)

WELL FOR #@%$ SAKES

I got the quote last night on getting my body kit put on and primed on my car. Now i was expecting say 600 - 700 dollars or so i was told by several ppl i know that have done body kits. Well guess what the number was...........!!!!!!$1700!!!!! oh for those of you who don't know the kit itself cost $1600 so yeah, I nearly fell over. So yeah so much for the kit going on unless my tax refund is really big or i win the lottery and i can kiss my lights good bye for this yr.

notes to self: I need a new addiction

Didn't I tell you that at work? Double it, that's the final price with everything said and done.

That's cheap... 2 a half years ago (and well of course, back then hardly any shops were installing kits, as it was before FATF), I was quoted $2,500-$4,000 maybe even more depending on hours. They said they can't guarantee a price. Plus the kit was $2,500.

That's a decent price, but I would never spend that on a camry, let a lone a 89 camry.
