thats true^^

On a side note, the Mazda GTX becomes insured at 12 tonight. Im soo excited to drive it. All you kelowna people watch for the grey 323 with "dohc 16v turbo" on the side casue ill be around there and in penticton all day tommorow. I hope it dosent over heat sitting in the construction, it wasnt liking the "cruise to complete idle" action last time i drove it.

Edit: anyone know any tricks to keep your engine temp form rising while driving other than turning the heat on? I tried driving at real low rpm's and coastin a bit, but it didnt work very well (I guess cause the pump wasn't ciculating the fluid very fast at those low rpms?)

yeah keep the rpm up.. go easy on the throttle, definitely stay out of boost, keep the heater on, unplug the temp sensor that activates your electric fan on the side of the thermostat housing so that the fan runs all the time with the ignition on.

why not replace your themostat to open up at a much lower temp.. that way your engine may stay cooler longer.. or be alot cooler all together once warmed up

umm lets just say... try to slow down for sharp corner, hit gravel on the road, start sliding, hit some pile of dirt or tree or something, then barrelroll, about three times, landing upside down in a ditch is not cool

I hate the north shore.

On my way to the new liqour store on the NS to pick up a 12 pack, I'm on leigh road, near the beach motel. At the stop looking left for traffic, had to wait a minute because of traffic. All of a sudden my passenger door opens, I look over and I see:

...A prostitute. Not a normal prostitute, but a true north shore and free prostitute, fat, old, native and ugly. She says "Well should we go?" I shout "NO!" as if it was the last thing i could say. She slammed my door and pranced away. I go to the liquor store.

But...more hookers see my car parked and start making their way over to it as I exited the building. I quickly had to put the beer in my car, start the car and quickly drive away. Que the scene from Jurrasic park with the jeep and the "objects in mirror are closer than they appear".

So now flash forward (same day, 3 minutes later) to the Intersection by the other liquor store, and the husky. Stopped I look to the left, and 3 native guys with a bike sitting in the shade. No problem, but I look again and what are they drinking. Scope. The blue one, the big one. Passing it around, on a Friday afternoon.

I HATE the North Shore.

Oh man, you just hit every North Shore stereotype. What a day. I can't even think of what else could have -possibly- happened right there.

i'll never forget the time i was on the north shore and some sketchy guy tried to sell me a Tylenol 3. he had a bandage around his head too, so obviously it was prescribed to him. my friend laughed, and said "i think you'd better take it!" then he muttered a few curses under his breath and took off.

i'd like to not have a stigma about that side of the bridge... but it's difficult. i did work over there for about 2 years and never once had my car broken into. guess i've just been lucky.
