Man is Accounting a boring class. :( thank god I'm not the one paying for me to take this class. I sure hope I don't have to use it, or at least use it to the extent of setting up our own accounting dept for my dept

Festus351 02-06-2007 07:35 PM

Strawberry Hill is on fire again..... at least this time im not floating down the river as it burns....

Strange tho... its at the top near the communications tower, but its been cold, freezing rain, and snow for the last days.... wtf could be burning? anyone hear anything about it?

saucywoman 02-06-2007 07:37 PM

when did you see smoke? it could've been my dept doing some slash burning today. I'm not sure where they were.

Festus351 02-06-2007 07:44 PM

I didnt see smoke.. all i saw was bright orange flames.... its been about an hour or so now... way up above the communications tower.... we thought it could be slash burning but i just can make sense of why it would be all the way up there... as the road up there is really narrow and shitty on a good summer day... weird

saucywoman 02-06-2007 07:47 PM

oh that prob wasn't them then, cause they finished the slash burning by 3.... Hmmmm...

we have snowmobiles that they were utilizing for wherever they were slash burning.... I guess I should start paying attention to where they are doing the slash burning, lol

Yeah i think i recall him talking on here about getting a new f150 not too long ago.

A very good friend of mine just bought an 04, theyre awesome looking inside and out. The interior looks like a luxury car, it would be my first choice for a newer truck.

When the time comes for me to get a newer truck, i'd have trouble saying no to the blue oval, the audiophile stereo system sounds awesome, leather interior is comparable to the lincoln luxury cars, nice big sunroof, tall cargo box sides, and apparantly decent fuel mileage.

Although the new generation silverados have an optional vortec max package with 365hp/375trq, and multiple displacement where it shuts off half the cylinders for fuel economy on the 6L engine, which is one up on the fords for sure.

Dirt Rider 02-06-2007 10:40 PM

i donno about that 6l chev

if i wanted a truck that knocked like crazy.. id just buy a diesel.. you ever hear a 6.0 fire up in the morning? HELLO rod knock.. there horrible..

new trucks are insanely nice on the inside...I'd feel bad taking one off-roading lol

i washed my chevy today, within 10 minutes of drying it, it started to rain. i guess i'm a dumbass for not believing the weather network and the radio. but man that onyx black sure looks nice when its clean. my truck looks very narc'ish.. i love it.

hopefully this newly revised 07+ version of the 6L has solved that.

lots of the 99+ chevy small blocks all have piston knock when cold, even my 5.3L does. It's a design flaw they created when trying to make power with lots of piston to cylinder wall clearance for efficiency... needless to say they were off by a thou or two. It's a disturbing sound to hear, but apparently does no long term damage to the cylinder walls, mines at 180,000km and never uses a drop of oil.

3rd Time being stuck in the driveway since friday. Funny how it happens concidering we've got a flat driveway. Fuck I'm already starting to hate rwd. I cant park on the road due to all the snow, nor can I park in the yard. I'm really starting to hate parking down the road.

down_hill_dog 02-08-2007 12:13 AM

what snow? get some real tires suited to the seasonal conditions.

girlcrazy_420 02-08-2007 07:09 AM

easier said than done. Only had the car on the road for 3 days, between a new trans, clutch anf misc parts, I didnt budget new tires. Unfortunately I'll need low pro 16's... Little harder to find these at the wreckers

RRxtar 02-08-2007 10:04 AM

then dont buy them at the wreckers. buy some real tires. goto canadian tire and get something there. im sure you've got a pile of canadian tire money laying around

ForFoxSake! 02-08-2007 12:17 PM

in a pinch some Nexxens from Wal Mart should do....though they're most likely not very well suited for the weather we've been having

down_hill_dog 02-08-2007 01:27 PM

maybe just be like marshall (prosho) and have a mis-matched set of wheels with cheap winters of whatever size on the rear for now until spring rolls around?

I don't think he's had any problems with traction this year?

It's better to look a little stupid with unmatching wheels, than looking even stupider by having all 4 pony wheels on with bald tires. Especially when you slide it into a pole, or worse another car killing someone. Use a little common sense.

ForFoxSake! 02-08-2007 01:32 PM

w00t you bought a Stang?

girlcrazy_420 02-08-2007 01:34 PM

I've got Goodyear 235-50R16 Gsd-2's on there right now. Fountain has Nexxan N2000's on special, bill a tire installed so that seems pretty workable. Not the best looking tire... but as long as they have good reviews I dont see why not. Definitally not a winter, but I'm sure they are better than whats on there.

I'd like a good traction tire, with a high tolerance treadwear rating. Before buying any ole' tire, I'll do a bit of research to see whats best for my driving habits. Even if I just get summer tires, I should be fine untill march as long as I dont do any driving in the snow. Like seriously... the snow's on its way out.

jeffh 02-08-2007 02:53 PM

^ ive been rolling on my dunlop direzza's for 2 weeks, just use your head and your fine

down_hill_dog 02-08-2007 04:58 PM

hopefully this weather can get ral nice soon. I'd like to get the O.Z.'s on, as i'm sick of driving my winters on dry pave.
