On another note on a rear ender when you're hit at 50 kmh there's no way in hell you're hanging on. If I did I wouldn't have when I hit the van in front of me.

I've been in a rear ender where I was at a dead stop, and the VW van hit me doing 50-60. Both my passenger and I had our seatbelts on, and we both came out of it with only some whiplash, the passenger getting the worst of it.

Well then I'm glad I wasn't wearing a seatbelt. I wasn't just rear ended I nailed the vehicle in front of me as well as a result. Other than stiffness and back strain yesterday I'm fine. My passenger can hardly walk.

I bet if your passenger hadn't been wearing a seat belt, she would have gone through the windshield or for the most part nailed the dash doing more damage than wearing a seat belt.

Not really.

You'd have to be there to understand

jeffh 04-16-2007 05:36 PM

shit!! someones gotta phone up Honda BMW Mercedes Ford GM Chrysler toyota et al, and let them know they are wasting money on seatbelts when we dont really need them!!

RedCeli 04-16-2007 11:10 PM

What's the point of this argument. There's obviously a reason that taxi drivers don't have to wear seatbelts. Why is everyone freaking out about him not wearing one?

it's not bad. I went there last Aug and it was 40' and it was fine I wasn't sweating, just keep hydrated. I came back here where it was 30' and I was sweating.

I figure Aug will be long enough for me to save up spending money since I just found out Sat I'm going to be paying $500 for income tax :(

the reason why cabbies, delivery drivers, garbage men/women, postal workers dont have to wear there seatbelt is because they have commercial insurance, and a commercial vechile in a residential area does not need to wear there seatbelt by law. i could have the same right when i had commercial insuracne on my car while delivering pie's in highschool.

Actually. no. Not as a Pizza Delivery Boy. It's not categorized as commercial vehicles.

Not to mention you car would have been insured as a delivery vehicle not a commercial vehicle. Commercial vehicles are licenced to the specific companies.

w000t... BES servers in all the western hemisphere are toast!

ColinK 04-18-2007 07:15 AM

in English please? What's a BES server? and why did they all crash?

RRxtar 04-18-2007 05:37 PM

then why did i get a seatbelt ticket the work truck thats insured to a company for comercial use

zumvette 04-19-2007 05:46 AM

sorry i meant delivery commercial. and it isnt everywhere either, only in residential areas. highways and main drags are not included( this is what i was told when i finally did the right insurance on my car like 4-5 yrs ago). for companies that make/possibly make multiple stops on the same block. i have commercial on the kenworth i drive but still required to wear a belt in residential.

made my first real trip into edmonton with my KW, frick all the lil cars that tried going under my truck, i am just going to stay in the bush where the rules are simple, the bigger truck has the right of way.

Because commercial vehicle drivers aren't exempt.
