well mine could have been driven, if the tire didn't hit the wheel well. yours must not have gotten pushed back as far as mine.

KyleMR2 10-20-2007 12:16 PM

007WRX 10-20-2007 02:20 PM

Are you guys still drifting?

What a joke, I hope one of you write off your car, just so I can say: I told you so.

You'll learn your lesson sooner or later.

Let them have fun as long as they dont hurt anyone else its fine. If you only knew what we use to do.

PS, underscore and group, be somewhat responsible and take dangerous actions out of the public view. We had a nice spot by Reid's Corner, few people ever around, altho this was a few yrs ago. If you bust something who cares just dont do it around other drivers/people that dont what is going on.

PSS, i am have done more than my fair share of dumb things and close calls so I am saying out of experience if you want to drive your vechile hard/bag it, do it where it isnt noticeable. Have fun.

KyleMR2 10-21-2007 12:00 AM

ya when i went out again it was 1am and i made sure there was no traffic or people before i did any drifting. sure i may damage my car but its just an expensive hobbie.

007WRX 10-21-2007 12:50 AM

Kyle Mr.2 you are a tool, plz stop endangering urself and others, u could kill a baby, or some shit. save ur crash's till next year at the track so we can get it on tape and the only thing u can hurt is your car. yes i learned on the street, but i have never had any problem, dont pick spots where things can get bent or smashed. If u do need to hit the street's do it in a suitable location for your driving skill. parking lots are your friend.

Ummm...unless the road is closed to all other traffic, there's a chance you could hurt somebody.

underscore 10-21-2007 12:11 PM

where we went was nothing but shipping companies that were completely closed up for the night. one had trucks starting to fire up so we left.

I love how shanw slide sinto a ditch, and everyones like yeah yeah hardcore dorifto-ness, kyle and I hit a curb and it's lolz noobs gtfo teh streets before you kill someone. I haven't been around the whole car scene too long but I've seen some of you guys pulling stupid shit too, drivng cars with illegal mods blah blah blah. what you do with/to your car is your business, likewise with mine. now if someone decides to try to drift into a parking stall at starbucks, and slides into a bunch of cars injuring someone, then yeah, get pissed.

white night 10-21-2007 01:10 PM

ya it was hard core dorifto-ness, spun got high centered on the dirt b4 i went into the ditch, got the guys to push it out... car is fine.... no damage at all. and y is there no damage?? because a picked a suitable location. and wtf does illegal mods have any thing to do with this? you dont crash your car into curbs or other cars because you exh is to loud. dude i was a noob in spring this year, iv done alottttt of street drifting never crashed into any thing. the only "crash" i have had was geting high centerd on that drirt, but i was going 3rd gear speed in the dry and doing HUGE e-brake holdes. im not saying dont street drift, but im also not promoteing it..... ill im trying to say is FIND SPOTS FOR YOUR SKILL LEVEL i was in the same spot as kyle 6 months ago. just tryin to keep u guys from pwn'in ur cars or other people

was me

underscore 10-21-2007 02:17 PM

my crash was due to understeer + rain, wasn't even drifting that time. go figure. the corner itself is pretty big, got nowhere close to the curb previously. theres a nice big shipping company lot I had wanted to go to but apprently it gets patrolled a lot. live and learn I guess.

Therin 10-21-2007 02:59 PM

I think everyone should just keep their negative mouths shut when it comes to someone doing something stupid. we've all done it and if you havent, then your a prick.

There are no tracks around so its gonna happen on the street. deal with it.

They have been dubbed "the worlds biggest pickup trucks"

Keep your eyes open for them cruising the streets of kelowna soon!

ColinK 10-21-2007 04:24 PM

wow! it's almost 3 times heavier than my car!!

underscore 10-21-2007 04:32 PM

how is that stupid shit? i bought a car without a drivers side bag, passanger side is useless so i removed it, i street drive a harness sometimes, have HID's in a non factory equipped car (not DOT legal) whopee...not like it makes it less safe for anyone but me...somehow i dont go driving around bashing curbs and trying to street race everyone then pretend i didnt...man...just drive like a normal person and go race autocross or drive at drift events if thats ur shit...or i guess at worst go to some backroad where the only thing u'll hit is a deer or a logging truck...like shawn said..parking lots are your friend if u wanna fuck around

so if we dont go drifting, dont street race, dont go backroading that makes the people pricks?....that makes all of no sense...i think it makes you a responsible person who doesnt have to bomb around and get an adreniline rush to be happy

white night 10-21-2007 05:05 PM

ya chris... are you calling me a prick?!?!?! ur price on your parts sooo just jumped up $200. ill put money down that i spend more time drifting on the street then any one elce in kelowna. the point im trying to make is that i have never had a close call with other people (ex. walkie talkie's, person spoting the courner and using hand signals, or just shuting the road down) and i have also nexer crashed my car on the street, kelowna has it very good for cops leting us fuck around and i just dont want noobs makeing bad dissistions and forceing the cops to be harder on me when they do drive 1.5 from westbank to tell me to stop up at big white.

truth be told, and if it does happen on the street for whatever reason. be sure that the site is secured to avoid unwanted accidents. Smashing up a car is just a way of learning.

underscore 10-21-2007 05:12 PM

sorry I worded that wrong, I can't figure it out how to make it sound the way I want. stupid shit as in stupid shit while driving. I don't care what you do with your car and how you drive it, why should you care about mine? yeah my cars pretty slow, has cheap rims and whatnot, I'm also younger than most of you. I don't race people cause I know my cars slow, I give'r off the line sometimes cause guess what? givin'r in my car aint exactly much.

Now I understeered and slide in the rain and hit a curb, breaking my cheap rim and thus destroying the tire, as well as bending the lower control arm. Was I drifting when I did this? No. Do I care that people made fun of me a bit after it happened? No. Does it get old fast? Yes.

I'll probably try out AutoX next year, driftings kinda neat but I'm not gonna buy another car for it. What I really wanna do, I'll be doing once I'm done school and have a real job to finance it. Until then, I'll drive my Celica, upgrading shit as it breaks.

I think what Therin's saying is that most of us have screwed around on some backroad, or in the rain or snow or ricer weaved or whatever.
