WOW, I billed 39.5hrs in the last 2 days and I was done by noon on the 2nd day. I have about 1.5hrs of delivering to do still but holy batman it was all OT. VERY BONER-FICIAL

Rode the bro's R6 for the first time. Was not as fast as I was expecting, but it was still quick non the less. I couldnt get the front off the ground unless I leaned into it. Little dissapointing. I thought I was shifting at about 10g between gears, looking down to realize I was only sitting at about 3500rpm  Doing 120km at such a low rpm is nuts. Fun toy, but definitely dosnt seem like a comfortable road trip bike. Cant wait to open er up on a strait stretch when its a little warmer and not 2 in the morning.

The 07 R6 needs to be ridden at high rpms. A cbr at the 1/4 would walk away at the beginning then the r6 would catch it at the end. Lots of top end lacking low end. They have a 17.5k red line dont they??

girlcrazy_420 03-08-2008 04:54 PM

Sounds about right ^ I know it goes untill 20grand so 17.5 dosnt sound far off. He needs to get rid of the gay factory signals and rear license plate bracketry. Flush mounted is the way to go, and put the plate in the rear tire well. Wonder where to put the "N"? He's got class 5, but because he's got a novice bike license?

edit: His roomie has a 06cbr 1000. Just pulled it out of storage the other night. Its a much bigger bike that would fit someone like me much better. The r6 looks like... a "kids play thing"

RRxtar 03-08-2008 05:05 PM

06+ R6 redlines at 16,100rpm. the tach lies.

try bangin thru gears at 15,000rpm while dicing thru corners. you'll change your mind on thinking its slow.

... actually, dont try that.

pffft, whatever man. r6's are for girls. thats why i sold mine and bought an r1 back in the day.

now i am bikeless...

but i am going to get something soon, i hope this year

either way, my r6 was a 2002 and i could get the front up in first gear no problems. and i am sure an 07/08 has 10-20 more hp and more tq and pep to pop it up in 2nd with just the throttle.

zumvette 03-11-2008 01:26 PM

I am on route to work 200hrs in 2 weeks. Should be my biggest paycheck ever. I think I will bank 70hrs or so, that way I dont way up the @$$ in taxes and have some decent summer paychecks.

saucywoman 03-12-2008 02:33 PM

gas jumped to 122.9 today :( I already spent $70 to fill up on Friday at $1.18:(

jeffh 03-12-2008 03:14 PM

so when i go to fill up next, im just not gonna look at how much 94 octane is. ill just fill and drive away before i realize how much money im wasting

Bouncing Bettys 03-12-2008 04:28 PM

looks like i'll be holding off on putting the gt4 on the road. good thing i have a gas-mizer micra in the mean time

RRxtar 03-12-2008 05:10 PM

riding a motorcycle isnt economical anymore.

i remember $12 tanks of gas. now they are $20!

an average sunday ride takes 4-5 tanks. :(

fourtirefire 03-12-2008 06:48 PM

lol I'm up to a whopping $58/tank now, and that still gets me 340km of "spirited" in town driving.

At these prices I almost miss the civic. It would probably only cost about $45-50 to fill

zumvette 03-12-2008 07:41 PM

I havent paid for fuel yet in my diesel but is says on the display that i should be getting around 660+km around town, spirited as well. I think it is a 110L tank not sure tho.

Slo40 03-12-2008 08:17 PM

A tank of gas in the 240 only costs me $95... :Petting

fourtirefire 03-12-2008 10:09 PM

avgas will do that to ya...

RRxtar 03-12-2008 10:41 PM

my new work truck is an 08 F350 super duty.... with a 6.8L V10. hauling about a 7000lbs trailer around the city everyday.

i cant WAIT to see that gas bill. :D

zumvette 03-13-2008 07:02 PM

correction i checked the display today as filled up on some more free fuel, 740km spirited in town driving on a tank, not sure how many litres tho

OffroadZuki 03-14-2008 08:08 AM

dammit...find out how many litres! lol I'm kinda curious...I've heard of some big diesels getting decent gas mileage (yours works out to about 15L/100km if it's a 110L tank)

Ummm....also...we gotta go 4x4ing (especially once the mud dries up a bit :D) been dinking around south of town quite a bit just takin' it easy for now....but yeah...we should go haha

girlcrazy_420 03-14-2008 07:59 PM

Finally found a house to move into after 5months of looking. Everything we wanted, price range, location, acreage, allows pets of whatever we want and its a full actual house under budget! I have that workshop i've always wanted, and a fire pit out in the front yard. Now time to put the flagpole to use.

Slo40 03-14-2008 08:12 PM

Charging up the new canon 40D as I type :drool

ColinK 03-14-2008 08:55 PM

^oh nice! what'd you have before? the xti? i thought you already had a 40D?

Slo40 03-14-2008 09:10 PM

No I just had an XT.

Dirt Rider 03-15-2008 10:35 AM

RRxtar 03-15-2008 03:33 PM
