Rode the bro's R6 for the first time. Was not as fast as I was expecting, but it was still quick non the less. I couldnt get the front off the ground unless I leaned into it. Little dissapointing. I thought I was shifting at about 10g between gears, looking down to realize I was only sitting at about 3500rpm Doing 120km at such a low rpm is nuts. Fun toy, but definitely dosnt seem like a comfortable road trip bike. Cant wait to open er up on a strait stretch when its a little warmer and not 2 in the morning.

A cbr at the 1/4 would walk away at the beginning then the r6 would catch it at the end. Lots of top end lacking low end. They have a 17.5k red line dont they??

Sounds about right ^ I know it goes untill 20grand so 17.5 dosnt sound far off. He needs to get rid of the gay factory signals and rear license plate bracketry. Flush mounted is the way to go, and put the plate in the rear tire well. Wonder where to put the "N"? He's got class 5, but because he's got a novice bike license?
edit: His roomie has a 06cbr 1000. Just pulled it out of storage the other night. Its a much bigger bike that would fit someone like me much better. The r6 looks like... a "kids play thing"

06+ R6 redlines at 16,100rpm. the tach lies.
try bangin thru gears at 15,000rpm while dicing thru corners. you'll change your mind on thinking its slow.
... actually, dont try that.

... actually, dont try that. | pffft, whatever man. r6's are for girls. thats why i sold mine and bought an r1 back in the day.
now i am bikeless...
but i am going to get something soon, i hope this year
either way, my r6 was a 2002 and i could get the front up in first gear no problems. and i am sure an 07/08 has 10-20 more hp and more tq and pep to pop it up in 2nd with just the throttle.

I am on route to work 200hrs in 2 weeks. Should be my biggest paycheck ever. I think I will bank 70hrs or so, that way I dont way up the @$$ in taxes and have some decent summer paychecks.

an average sunday ride takes 4-5 tanks.

lol I'm up to a whopping $58/tank now, and that still gets me 340km of "spirited" in town driving.

dammit...find out how many litres! lol I'm kinda curious...I've heard of some big diesels getting decent gas mileage (yours works out to about 15L/100km if it's a 110L tank)
Ummm....also...we gotta go 4x4ing (especially once the mud dries up a bit ) been dinking around south of town quite a bit just takin' it easy for now....but yeah...we should go haha

Finally found a house to move into after 5months of looking. Everything we wanted, price range, location, acreage, allows pets of whatever we want and its a full actual house under budget! I have that workshop i've always wanted, and a fire pit out in the front yard. Now time to put the flagpole to use.
