Yep. Joseph helped me pass my old Jetta GTX when no one else (including me) could figure out what the hell was wrong with it. Definately a great guy to deal with.

One_87: What did you have D-tech Muffler do for you? Do they do custom exhausts?

I have a few:

1. Dragonay Tuning, awesome guy to deal with, super friendly and very informative. First guy I ask when I have problems with my A4.

2. L&R Racing, very nice guy and good quality work, its worth the wait.

3. Kinetic, Tommy from L&R is there now, he does good quality work.

PSC Auto Repair
Unit 6 at 3810 1st Avenue (int of Boundary Rd. and 1st Avenue)
Burnaby
(604) 291-8104

This mechanic is a one-man show, but he is an awesome honest guy! I found out about him through a friend and have been going there ever since. He just replaced the diff, water pump and alt on my 89 Firebird, I'm very happy (very reasonable price, well and promptly done). :P

He does body, engine, paints (very well), and everything else, he really listens to you and doesn't try to sell you extra crap you don't need. He even returned 50 bucks that I accidentaly gave him on top of his price.

I've been trying to contact L&R Racing for a couple days. The website www.lr-racing.com gives a number (604-552-1426) that doesn't work. And the email adress apparantly doesn't exist. Have they moved, shut down or changed numbers or something? Any help would be appreciated in contacting the shop, I need info on a Datsun 240z that they built.

KAL TIRE, Boundary and Kitchner in Burnaby. They impressed me hugely the first visit there, and I've been going back and recommending friends and family there ever since - they've never let us down.

Also, one of their best guys is now managing the store in Langley, so I would expect that's a good shop now too

JS Performance in Abbotsford. I liked going there so much I got a job there!

Jose is pretty much specialized in ALL import autos. He helped me build my 220hp Jetta Turbo.

I took my EK into Middlegate Honda, the service guy was really friendly and they explained all the work they did and their recommendations. No complaints, it was nothing exceptional but I'd go back.

I deal with this guy off of Main right at the corner where that Burger King is. It looks like a grungy shop but for honest repair I hit up Mantaray. The guy doesn't fuck around but because he has limited resources hes usually pretty busy. Not exactly a tuner shop but for a good mechanic who you can trust I recommend Ben who I believe is the owner.
