okay...I'm ONLY saying this because you asked for input...
first off...your pictures are stunning.
The only thing I noticed is (especially on the first two pics) the wheels are unevenly lit...the front wheels have beautiful definition - with the disc and the caliper clearly showing - whereas the rear is kind of in shadow...the fronts look so nice that I wish the rears were equally well-defined) that's the only thing that jumped out at me.

yea, i noticed that after too. I find it's tough to look for things like that on such a small LCD on the camera  Maybe I should start brining a laptop along! haha

Setup was sigma 17-70 2.8 and 2 vivtar 285hv flashes

I feel that the front of the car and sides would benefit from fill flash to lift the shadows. That would also show off the detail of the brakes too. Put a diffuser on your external flash, aim it forward, and set the flash to 1-2 stops lower. Quote:

My suggestions is to shoot with the light instead of against it. Nice photos, but you have great big shadows in the front (as freelunch mentioned) and by rotating the car to have the sun hit it in the front would elminiate this.

Yes... no external flash... its just D50 with the lens it came with... 18-55. So basically you mean turn the car 180 and take the shot with me more towards the right?

first pic the poles are coming out of your race car
and the 2nd one the line reflection on the door is distracting. the Grass horizon doesn't really help either all the lines just chopping up your car
Ps shouldn't you be studying.. which i am not also but w.e
edit: did you purposely put your car there and frame it so it said R / S? :P

Does that make sense?

^ since you're using a tripod, you can bring down the ISO unless that's the lowest already and it doesn't process noise that well or it was underexposed and you brought up the brightness while editing
