I like the first one :). Those driving shots you do, do you shoot them out the sunroof?

Tips/suggestions
Love this post. watch it all the time, figured Id post aswell

nice angle and backdrop but clone the light standards out and try turning down the brightness and adjusting the contrast. i'm not a big fan of the glare coming off the rear panel. Also take a little bit of time to either remove your plate before shooting or clean it like Domani does, the blur just looks cheap and rushed. Keep shooting!

It was taken by Fujifilm s7000

first of all ,HAWT CAR! Make you backgrounds as simple and undistracting as possible. (the house and white garbage bags)Try shooting at max aperture to blur the background out and your car will "pop" off the page.

To save this pic I would clone out the white bags, blur the background except the trees, maybe even a desat (make b&w)then re-color the s2k...keep shooting!

Domani 02-23-2005 10:10 AM

yeah.... i asked the drive to take out the plates when i shoot
but sometimes they don't want to, and it's really up to them :)

you can either put your camera into AV mode or M or even portrait. In AV(aperture value) you have full adjustment of you aperture (diaphram opening size), you want to go with the smallest # possible which will give you the largest opening(wide open). In this mode your camera will chose the appropriate shutter speed. In manual you will have full control. Of course you don't have to shoot wide open for every shot cuz sometimes you will need a little extra depth of field to bring the entire subject into focus so just adjust your aperture until everything you need in focus...is.
