I don't think you should take everything you shoot to graffiti.
It's been done over and over, try something new, find somewhere else, something unexpected!

Photoshoot locations are a prized possession among some people. I take it you're new to the "photo community"....some people will be willing to share, but to some, these locations are secret locations and it's simply not polite to pry it out of people.

sorry for the delay boys and girls, I kinda forgot about your request :S

Here's the unedited shots:

gees... might wanna change the tone of how you ask for help around here.

It's not that people don't want to help, but you need to realize that not everyone comes in here on a daily basis, looking at every thread, and answering every question. And even if someone DOES answer a question, it's not out of any OBLIGATION - they don't HAVE to answer anything but the fact that they do is simply out of generosity and the willingness to share.

Like someone mentioned above... some people will share and some won't so there's no point in getting annoyed or angry when someone DOESN'T answer all your questions.

That being said... there are many alleys with nice graffiti and most of them are in the downtown core area. You may have to spend some time just walking around and looking for them.

I like them all except the first and last. First you cut off the headlight at the bottom, should have given it some more room.

Last one, the angle is too harsh. half that angle would be alright, but that's too much.

really appreciate the comments. yeah those pics where done pretty quick. kinda cold with the crazy winds we had today. will take note of the stuff you pointed out :)

frostdiamond 11-13-2008 07:49 PM

Understood. I appreciate all the inputs.

I guess I asked because I am not that familiar with DT area, and driving around DT blindly with 20% tinted windows is no different from having a neon sign on my car that says COPS, LOOK HERE.

I'll see if I could dig out some new areas of interest.

ColinK 11-13-2008 08:35 PM

roll your windows down :)

Mr. JDM: Your shots are underexposed (last 3). Try metering off the car more as that's your main subject. :)

Mananetwork 11-15-2008 12:14 PM

Bad ass ckrieg, you only use one clap?
Are you by any chance holding the other side or anything?

ColinK 11-15-2008 12:30 PM

clap? what? you mean clamp? holding what other side?

lol, I'm confused

I think I'll be taking some rig shots of an Austin Healey today, if I do, I'll bring my little p&s and take some pics of the setup

Sorry about that, woke up with a headache today.
Ya I meant to write clamp.
With only one clamp doesn't the camera bounce around, shift even?

ColinK 11-18-2008 08:32 PM

@ frostdiamond, too overprocessed for my likeing. I like the brake shot and the one of the back end showing the logo tho

frostdiamond 11-18-2008 08:37 PM

Thanks for the comment. If I had a real SLR, shots probably won't have to be this much processed.

Man, wish I can go authentic HDR.
