Just a few of my last photos with my Nikon D80 w/ Tamron 70-300mm f4-5.6. Sold them both today and picked up a D300 :D, now I just need to save up a few more dollars so I can grab a 70-200mm f2.8 Sigma.

Nice photos! but I have question. Do you shoot for high end automotive dealerships or something? Or do you just walk around downtown snapping photos of sweet cars. Perhaps they're your friends cars? Maybe they're your cars?

Sorry for the rather slow response.
Thanks. But no they are not my cars nor do I know the owners (I try to ask for permission to take the photos whenever I can). I don't shoot for any automotive dealerships at this point in time, but it is something that I would like to get into. Most of the time I just walk around parts of Vancouver and Richmond snapping photos of different cars.

Here is a LP560 that I saw today.

Well sold almost all of my old gear to pick up a D300 and Sigma 70-200 f2.8. This was the first time really giving it a test since I bought it.

Pacific Gran Prix, Winter Drift Series

It was cold, and wet near the end of the day, but the gear held up well. Im extremely happy with both the new body and lens.

There will be more photos from the event posted at www.BigBoyMedia.net in the next couple days.

The key is to use a good fast prime. Ie. 50mm f/1.4

Is that your car? I see it around work all the time (NS automall)

If its yours, you need to move it to better locations for photos, and frame it better

If its not yours, make friends with him, then do as above =)

Most of mine are taken at car meets and shows. You might recognize a bunch of these cars from the last RS summer meet.
