finally pulled out my camera after more than a year this weekend while washing my car, just thought I'd share haha. https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/_I...%20%281%29.jpg |
noob here. Got a question for all you automotive photographers; How do you guys take photos of your cars under streetlamps (yellow)? No matter how much I fiddle with the whitebalance etc, my car always seems to look "yellow" under the lights. http://a4.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot..._2453774_n.jpg |
I try to avoid shooting under yellow lamps as much as possible. Otherwise, I would correct it with curves. Boost the blue channel to remove as much of the yellow as possible, then correct with color balance. I guess fiddling with channel mixer and boosting the blue would give the same effect. Here is a quick rough edit of your pic. http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y173/RCubed/edit-1.jpg |
RCubed! You know I love your photos! Great stuff! Keep it up. I did a small rig photoshoot with my fathers Aerio over the weekend haha! http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5214/...9d425a1d_z.jpg |

What are your exposure times like? They seem really really long. edit: I just checked your exif. 8 Seconds! Holy! Crazy smooth pushing to avoid vibration for 8 seconds! |
^ That one was 8 seconds. It was getting darker by the minute. I did another angle that was 4 seconds but I need to purchase a wide angle lens for it to work. The rig needs to be so long in order to get some background from my 18-200mm VR. Would you have done a shorter exposure? I'm still learning :p |
^cuz my camera is light and cheap. I drive faster and take shorter exposures :P |

Yea I start to push just a little bit before the shutter opens so by the time it does open, the vibration from the first push settles down a bit. |
Thanks RCubed. I guess I'd have to learn more about editting after the photo is taken. And agreed with the other poster, awesome photos you have going there. |
Something a little different.. https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/_R.../DSC_8787e.jpg |

Awesome photo + ride. What rims are those? Running on winter's? They don't seem to match the ride's aggressiveness as good as stocks'. |
@vdub333 - it's near the bus station underneath arthur laing bridge. if you take the oak st bridge, then take marine drive west, you should be able to see it as you approach granville st. it's sorta near COAST vancouver airport hotel :) @revrav - they are forgestar CF5 + advan neovas (summer) his previous rims were better, but these look better in person because of its concavity |
Yeah...not quite feeling those Forgestar's, at least not in photo. Got pics of his ride in his previous rims? |
