One of the ppl that contacted me through another classifieds for the car-rig asked if he would be able to produce "domani-type-shots." He was not interested in what I had to say about the tripod, only if he would be able to duplicate your shots.

You have your reasons on what intrigues and inspires you, but my humble advice is, if you're good at something, and you're getting paid, then have a coke and a smile and keep doing it.

Thanks Salar for ur encouragement and comment, i really took it in
and to the heart. That was really something. Nonetheless like you said, i have my reasons. I just thinking in my books, i m bored
from doing the same type of stuff and i wana try other areas
auto photos. perhaps focus more on stills. much thanks :)

MikesJo 08-04-2005 06:20 AM

Not to sound like an ass, but the reason I wanted your tripod is far more than reproducing similar shots done by Domini. I do not understand how you got the idea that I was not interested in what you have to say. Maybe I sounded like I was in a rush 'cause I was driving during work hours.

Next thing, I have always been interested in taking those shots way before Domini has posted his on RS. I have seen them done on magazines, as well as on H-T. Someone has mentioned that they could be produced in photoshop using a still shot of the vehicle, but I was unable to get the effect to come out the way I wanted it to be. Therefore, back to trying other means out.

It's nice to see how one simple conversation totally make me sound like an ass. I guess I should stick to doing my own scenery shots.

Doc 08-04-2005 11:28 AM

You didn't sound like an ass at all. You were actually very nice on the phone.

I was just emphasizing the fact that Domani's shots are known and praised within the community, because he's good at what he does. It was in no way shape or form to defame you nor your request.

Now post some automotive pics for constructive criticism.

Hey no worries man, Salar was trying to persuade Domani not to retire. In no way was he trying to make you feel bad.
