I do it sometimes, if I find the picture is too noisy....however, if you want a better solution to noise control, use Neat Image or a similar program (but it'll mean you need to spend more time on an image).

so IS doesn't work when panning? is the function of IS to keep focus on a certain point? while panning, can't it do that as well?

I got my tripod from a guy on the side of the gym opposite from the door.

domani: are those pictures photoshoped? or did u take them in action. if so, how did u stick the camera on the car? i need to make a short film with lots of car actions... im trying to figure out a way to stick a camcorder on it without cutting the car....
