care to enlighten me on the process? | in this one the pink was pretty solid. so i used a cheap quick fix. for a larger scale photo or printing youd want to be more careful. but for this one it was simple.
1. use the lasso (or polygonal lasso if you're not that adept with the lasso yet) select the area with definite colour differences
2. copy and past it onto a new layer
3. image > adjustments > hue/saturation
4. play around until it looks right.
for a more professional appraoch you have a few options.
1. you can do as GFunk said, and bursh over the area and fool around with the blending modes, although it is difficult to get the exact shade and you will still need to use the hue/saturation adjustment
2. you can use the channels and adjust the R channel. but this is more complicated although it will be more precise, more professional. (channels are a bitch btw, once you learn em though it makes things alot easier)
3. select the pink area plus a bit of the outside surrounding, adjust the colour and opacity, and then use a soft brush and erase the edges.
4. the best way to adjust it is to use the curves on the different colour channels. but it is difficult, and i cannot enlighten any of you about this way.
it's more preference than anything.

the colours on both of those shots came out nicely, but i'm afraid the composition is pretty weak on both. that first shot wouldve been better with the wheel turned the opposite direction and a bit more angle on the car (less from the front), but regardless the crop is awkward. i love the colours on the building and sky though.

I like the shot ckrieg, but i'm gonna sample your picture and crush the blacks and grey to give it more of a sunny day (enhance the shadows). I also blurred the background more so we can focus on the car and not whats behind it. I hope you didn't mind. Damn my LCD/CRT both looks so different *sigh* looks better on the crt btw. What are you running?

seems like it'd be very hard to do a realistic looking photoshop for these kind of pics? because the car is facing the camera, so u need a very gradual blur to make it look real?
right now its a little bit unnatural to me,
=)

That looks GREAT, but I do agree with laurencepak, that it does look a little unrealistic with the way the background is blured. I didn't edit any of the pictures, but may enhance one or two for prints if the owner wants.

I wouldn't really use that type off effect unless I need more bokeh. It just really seperates your subject with the distracting bg.
