Wahahaha.....I can just imagine Kev running after the car trying to press the shutter button at "high speeds" :P

Ronin 11-21-2004 04:38 PM

Guys...the shot doesn't have to be during a high speed turn to appear like it's high speed.

think about this.....

shutter for two seconds + car moving under 5km's in a circle = that image....

hold your camera in your hand and open the shutter for 5 seconds. now your image has motion blur, but were you moving very fast? NO

Most "higher end" prosumer cameras and pretty much all SLR's have remote trigger, or remote cable release.

SLRs as in DSLRs? and pardon me, but what is a remote cable release? :p

SLR's in general already come tricked out with IR sensors (if we're talking about Canon here) for a remote to trigger off a shot.

A remote cable release is I guess, somewhat of a more dated term referring to older type of "remotes" where it is linked via a cable to the camera. Some of the older types are pneumatic, some are just a cable/wire that you press, etc.

i'll be mounting a video camera onto the car for action shots.. it'll be real time video instead of 5sec exposures. i CAN fast forward it but the car's movements, and stuff wont be the same at slow speeds
