Mike the first RSX image is very nice. The second, not so much. Not enough detail, just a bunch of spec highlights resembling a car

View it on your LCD, it's probably too dark on your CRT. Thanks for the comments though.

3 years have passed and I have no pictures of my own car until now!

anyway, i went to take some pictures late last night after not taking any pics for such a long time as most of u know! i was scared i forgot how to... but here they are :)

small little note: the HIDs are NOT blue in color, but only appear so in the pictures b/c of white balance, and because it looks much cooler :D

Just wondering...for rolling shots, would it be better to have it sunny out? or clouded over? Because you'll be able to have a longer shutter speed when it's clouded over, but it would look as nice...any recommendations?

FishTaco 10-25-2006 11:19 AM

why do you want a long exposure when shooting a moving car??blurry unless a pan

ColinK 10-25-2006 11:43 AM

blury unless a pan? Yea, I want the background blury...so high f-stop and low shutter speed

This is the car I rented in Ireland. A brand spanking new VW Golf. It was the perfect car to have in Ireland, because my fucking gosh what an amazing road system they have. Imagine sea to sky highway without the slow drivers and the crappy surfacing. But more importantly, not a single cop, and a speed limit that you'll never have the balls to surpass!

I had a perma-smile the entire time in the driver seat. Wow, what a trip.

Technical Question for you Salar. Did you use an adjustment layer to bring out the shadows around the perimeter or was there enough light to light it like that?

Doc 10-25-2006 01:38 PM

Hey Justin,
The area I am shooting from is actually a house that no longer had a roof, so I had tons of light to work with. In PS, I actually used the vignette effect to tone down some excess light in the corners.

Cheers,
~S

How do you go about doing your vignetting effect? I heard of many different ways.

ColinK 10-25-2006 07:06 PM

C & C ...please be kind, this was only my second time doing rolling shots :)
