Man, Sarth with two or three drakes is a tough fucking fight. Pretty much the only fight in the game at the moment that can't simply be brute forced.

We currently roll for loot since it's so easy to do everything in the game. I'll implement DKP when Ulduar is out.
We dip when we feel like being safe but most of the time, I'm just smashing Patch like there''s no tomorrow. We had a feral tank but he's on vacation so we just do it with a pally and a warrior atm. Five healers, provided that they aren't retarded, is plenty. We sometimes roll with four or even three in a raid...meaning we bring five but two are usually nuking shit.
I solo healed Patchwerk on my pally today in a 10-man...and he only has about 1700 spell power. Tell your healers not to suck. The safest strat is probably having five healers. Two healers that aren't druids spamming small heals (flash of light, flash heal, lesser healing wave) healing a tank each and two healers that aren't shaman using their big heals (greater heal, holy light, whatever that big druid heal is). I usually tell my healers to just spam since lasting three minutes isn't a problem but if your healers are having mana issues, tell them to cancel their heals. Winding up a heal/pre-healing is important. Then have a fifth healer, preferably a druid or a shaman (if your melee isn't dipping) keeping HOTs up or chain healing and filling in small or big heals. Add more healers as necessary but more than five is usually not needed. We do this fight with a pally using beacon and spamming holy light (that's how I single heal on 10's) and two healers spamming small heals. The key is to stagger and use small and big heals.

The Melee shouldn't have to dip into the slime at all on patchwerk. It is not solely based off of HP. Highest threat + High amount of HP is what he goes by for hatefuls. Just make sure the tanks are putting out good threat. What I would do, if it`s a PuG. Send the main tank to pull him, have ONE offtank taking hatefuls. Have just them in there for 5-10 seconds. Then the melee can go in, they shouldn`t be able to catch up in threat. Maybe a Ret Pally judging light or something or a HAT rogue. It is easier to only have 2 people taking hatefuls, can split your healers up better, have like 3 on the hateful soaker, and 2 on the main tank. Or 2 and 1, whatever you guys run with.

It's a bit under 9k now that I recently re-gemed, changed some enchants and reduced my AP for hit, exp and crit.
3600 unbuffed.
+687 imp might
+155 GOTW
+146 imp. Kings
+60 AI
+180 flask
+310 SOE totem
= 5136 raid buffed
+10% unleashed rage, ToA, etc
= 5652
+1000 mirror.
+800 beserk
+670 trinket
+332 orc racial
+110 relic
= 2912
Total: 8564 is the highest I'm currently capable of. Of course, in raid, I crit like 50% of the time... (34% with raid buffs, 9% ele dev, +5% feral) so you can guess how much agro I pull. Not to mention that 30% of my AP converts to spell power so my lightning bolts and earth shocks crit for 7-10k...and shaman have no spell threat reduction.
I think the highest I ever had my AP was around 8700 during all procs.

I will be a happy person after the patch and sell my stuff at 3x the profit.
