Already had my company Xmas dinner at Sandbar last weekend. Time sure is going quickly. Almost 3 weeks to go...

What is this you speak of? Neither my wife or myself have had a Work Xmas party in 5 years, Some employers going to be cheap as fuck. Yesterday when I reminded them I was taking Xmas to New Years off my boss looked at me like we need you here.........goodluck with that see you in the New Year.

He comes and goes under a different name now.
That said, I haven't seen him around since the end of the summer. Maybe he's jetsetting around Asia in his private plane while deciding which of his Supercars he's going to take to the Emperor's ball.

I've hung out with Hyde a few times and worked with him on some projects. He's got some cool things going on here actually. Sad to see another regular make themselves scarce here FeelsBadMan

Got our company xmas party coming up next weekend. Apparently we have booked The Blackbird and Royal Dinette to ourselves the whole night. We have ~120 employees attending + open bar!

I know this thread is primarily viewed for humour, but we need to give credence to this being a significant historical relic - one for the Vancouver Archives perhaps. Bear with me: within the pages of this thread, we document a culture shift in both Vancouver and internet culture in general.

When this thread was created back in 2001, Hongers were still seen as the spoiled, out-of-touch minority in the city. This is a position now supplanted by Mainland Chinese. I am curious to see who will supplant them in the years/decades to come.

Also there was actual civil discussion occurring before and during the time whilst Hyde was called out on his whininess. Nowadays I can only imagine a flurry of FAILs and sarcastic memes as replies.

We had our office party, last night. It was awesome. I skipped the first half of the buffet, and went right for the good stuff: turkey, honey ham, roast beef, stuffing, gravy, and some other things. I piled it high, and was too full for 2nds. I should've skipped desert and went back for more meats.

I usually take 2 plates back to my table rather than make 2 trips.

Funny how a few years of climate change affect the price of produce..

The famous "Bor see dun" lobster multiple like cockroaches and is now cheaper than local crabs.. or waygu beef.
