we did a lot of gravel roads on Monday. Westsyde road from kamloops to barriere, adams lake road to chase, chase to falkland, summerland to princeton |
Went up to squampton 50km's into bear and dear country. Nice sandy spot on the river bank |
went up past pemberton to an old hunting spot, and took a day trip to the pemberton hot springs .... hard to believe this use to be an airport, my buddys dad was telling me storys about seeing 3 planes crash here about 30 years ago http://img691.imageshack.us/img691/1151/dsc00907zb.jpg |
im torn on where to drive this summer |
^ah same |
already been out a few times :D |
93 4Runner. All stock. Bought it in April as a camping vehicle. Looking at bigger tires and body lift in the future. Took it up to Mt. Cheam earlier today. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...7191142000.jpg |
do suspension lift first, before you do the body lift... OME springs, and crack the front torsion bars 3 turns, or buy balljoint spacers... body lift does not give you any more ground clearance... |
i finally managed to part with my 03 tl a-spec and got my self a 2010 ford f-150 xlt supercrew. i never thought i could say this about ford trucks, but i honestly love this thing. http://i56.tinypic.com/ml6zo2.jpg |
i just got my 1994 v6 4runner running a couple days ago! picked it up for a few hundred bucks, rebuilt a motor for it and slapped some BFG mud terrains on it. it should be good enough for me. maybe some day i'll build a weekend only rig, this one is driven daily! |

Ok ill play.. 1988 3.0 4runner. Sas 35's etc etc etc http://i262.photobucket.com/albums/i...g?t=1287900100 http://i262.photobucket.com/albums/i...g?t=1287900128 http://i262.photobucket.com/albums/i...g?t=1287900151 Trying to sell it because i can't afford it right now. >> Nothing beats the looks i get when i drive this truck though!! I get looks everywhere i go! Lol |
i guess i should upgrade mine, i got ride of the jeep a while back to get a golf this is my winter stance since the VW does not see snow http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...IMG_1208-1.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...k/IMG_1210.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...k/IMG_1209.jpg |
just got a ton of work done in the last couple of weekends, pulled a few late nights to get new upper ball joints in, moog "cargo coil" rear springs and daystar 1 1/4" rear coil spacers as well as rear axle seals etc etc, just want to make it reliable. i need longer rear shocks so I'll probably go with KYB's since i can get them cheap. i'm also thinking of cranking up the front torsion bars or getting ball joint spacers to lift the front 1/2" to 1". i like the rear a bit higher because all the camping and fishing gear, tools and gas cans really weigh down the back. is it pretty normal to have a much stiffer ride after installing coil spacers? i'm guessing it has something to do with the progressive springs or shocks that are too short http://i1129.photobucket.com/albums/...oak/photo1.jpg that was taken before the coil spacers. |
http://i473.photobucket.com/albums/r...1/IMGP0568.jpg All 4 wheels spin and it rallies like a mother fucker |
/\ is that yours? and can you pm me pictures :jizz: |

OME medium rear coils were the best springs i found to put into the back of the 2nd gen 4runner... comfortable ride, yet capable of taking a LOT of weight in the back... |
i've got manual hubs already, previous owner put them on. are there any down sides to having stiff suspension off road? i haven't gotten the chance to go anywhere to try it out yet. i don't mind the stiffer ride but i dont want to have any negative affects off road. oh yeah i looked into OME springs to lift up the rear a bit but most springs lift 2", i only wanted 1 1/4 to 1 1/2" at the back and a tiny bit up front to keep it from looking like a dragster. but i've heard only good things about OME springs |
