They use a Mustang dyno
April 30, 2008
I recently used their dyno, 80bux for 3 baseline pulls. They did my pulls in 3rd gear, although I later found out the standard is to do the run in 4th gear. I asked them to hook up a wideband for AFR readings, they gladly did that for me. Apparently they rent out the dyno at $90/hr if you do your own tuning and whatnot. Pricing may vary, as I was referred to the shop by a friend who knows the staff. |

Thanks for death_blossom for this information but Kinetic Motorsport's dyno is not going to be in operation until further notice as per Shawn @ Kinetic.

Specialty Engineering in New Westminster has an engine dyno. But I dont know if they will put your engine on it. They dyno their own builds

My impression is it depends on how busy they are. I think only Shawn does the dyno and he's quite busy these days.

The dyno works, the problem is no one to run it. Good thing I'm trained on running it

I remember there was a thread about local dynos a while back but I can't find it now. Does anyone know of any local load bearing dynos that are actually available for use unlike the one at western which is not usable by the public, etc.

Racing Greed's (in Coquitlam) Mustang will do steady state. At $100/hr if you're tuning yourself it's one of the best values as well.
Typically you seem to need to book a few days in advance, but it's not too tough to get time.
Blitzkreig Motorsports in Vancouver have a dynapack. Rocket Rally in Squamish has a Dynapack. I think there are a couple other mustang dynos around town but I don't know how well they are set up for steady state.
