Found this article on the net: Haunted Vogue Theatre on Granville: "The Vogue Theatre on Granville Street in Vancouver is said to be very haunted and in 1991 an actual presence was seen by the audiance who came to watch a performance that night. The Vogue had been close for sometime due to lack of interest. After reopening, the staff was busy puting up posters. Upon double checking to make sure all the doors were locked up tight the staff left for the night. When they arrived the next morning they found all the posters strune all over the floor. Some technicians could hear drums playing but when they went to look...there was no one there. Others have felt very cold spots when they were high in the rafters above the staging area. ( Being that high is incredibly hot as heat rises) In one instance, a lighting tech was taking care of the lights when he felt someone was watching him. Upon turning to see who it might be he felt someone brush past him, touching his shirt. Then, a few seconds after he felt a very cold spot behind him. He knew that who ever it was...was still there watching him very, very closely. Another instance, a dancer was performing one night and in one of his steps he looked off stage to his right and saw a man standing there in what looked like very old clothes. While still in his step he watched closely as the apparition disapeared before his eyes. " |
The Portman Bridge is haunted: "The Portman Bridge is said to be visited every October by a group of spectre beings...not of this time. back in the late 1800's a group was heading to the Point Ellis house for a dinner. It had been raining for some time and the ground was soft. When they came to the bridge to get to the Point Ellis House some of the horses reared as if they knew what was about to happen. The horses did eventually cross with the carriages, but, a few didn't make it as the bridge gave way and the horses, carriages and passengers fell some 30 feet to the riverbed below. it is said that some did survive, but for those that didn't they still walk the banks swinging their gas lamps and calling out to their loved ones. One more foot note on this story...The Point Ellis House is said to be haunted as well!" |

Burnaby, British Columbia- Ceberley House - Burnaby Art Gallery Ceberley house is believed to have been owned by a family of the same name. Built in 1910, the grounds are composed of the house itself, remains of an old barn, and the still standing carriage house. It is now an art gallery. Hauntings have been seen as paintings moving off the walls and "following" people, faces of children seen in upper windows from outside of house, banging noises, the house 'shivering'. It had been rumored that in 1927, a family member died from an untimely illness and the spirit walks the halls. |
