Song Sparrow: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...140-Edit-1.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...164-Edit-1.jpg Male Rufous Hummingird was sleeping on a branch. He was there for about 10 minutes resting. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...180-Edit-1.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...5-Edit-2-1.jpg At last! A Luzuli Bunting! That is an incredible focus action shot on that hummingbird! |
How did you manage to get that shot??? I'd lighten up the image a bit, as it is a bit dark. |

1dmk2 with my sigma 70-200 @ 2.8. AI servo, bursting on high speed. little dude just stopped in front of me and i was able to get ONE photo in time before he deeked. LOVE the 1 series response time but even still it was a bitch! my gf's parents have a bunch of feeders and every night they literally swarm it. that was the only shot i could manage away from the feeders tho, the rest are all in flight right beside the feeder = meh. |

Edit: It's a Northern Flicker, a large woodpecker. :D |
^^^ very cool haven't seen those before ive got this bird that looks just like a crow hanging around my house except it has super Orange feet and is always alone havent been able to snap a pic or figure out what kind of bird it is.. unless its like a mutant crow |
Yup! Northern flickr. It's cherping outside my window right now! It must have a nest near by or in my yard somewhere. Try to snap a picture of the crow like bird with orange feet. I skimmed through my bird book but can't seem to find a match. Any more info? Awesome bird photos everyone! Keep'em coming! |
I think there's several that are nesting in one of the larger trees on my block. I can hear it pecking the tree in the afternoon however, they seem to come down for food randomly. |

Went for a hike up to St. Mark's Summit @ Cypress. When we reached the summit, all the birds were curious. Perhaps interested in our lunches. These birds got extremely close. http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4115/...ce3ae7bfdb.jpg http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4141/...093046d144.jpg http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4116/...fc14515a61.jpg http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4073/...5af5a499a5.jpg This shot is kind OOF, but I thought it would still work out. |
