^ yikes that is $$$$$$$$$$$ your "borrowing" that setup? |
Really nice pictures Senna! Looks like the Sandhill is growing up nicely! Good to see. Did you buy the MKIV or still borrowing? Still would love to get my hands on one, one of these days. Keep up the shooting! I've got a couple to upload once i get home from work. A few different ones that i'm sure no one has seen :) |
OMG!!! Those shots are amazing!!! ARGH!!! That's it I'm buying a bigger lens. Someone buy my snowboard!!! |
Yup, it's the company kit. I'm thinking of trading in my new 5DMKII for a 1DMKIV though, as the colour is just amazing out of the 1DMKIV. |
More from Sunday. 1DMKIV + 500mm f4L IS or 5DMKII + 70-200mm f2.8L IS II: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...226-Edit-1.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...236-Edit-1.jpg He heard the shutter and looked my way. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...244-Edit-1.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...386-Edit-1.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...4-Edit-2-1.jpg |

Nice shotgun! |
Great images lately, with alot of Sandhill's! Anything else going on there Jason? Great images, and looks like the youngin is growing up quickly! Thanks for posting! Here is something different in the wild. It's the Rainbow Lorikeet. Obviously very colorful, and really cool to see in person! They are all over the place in the Gold Coast. Pic taken with 7D + 70-200 @ 2.8. It was getting darker, and should have stopped it down, anyways... http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4119/...4f042284_b.jpg |

a family of merlins literally flew into my backyard the other day (4) these things are FAST! hard as hell to get close to and would just pop out of f*cking nowhere on the wing. i even got buzzed! sigma 70-200 @ 200 + tamron 2x teleconverter manually focused on a 1d mk2 in mostly garbage light :( http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4093/...f50234b6_b.jpg http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4074/...fd6f80b2_b.jpg http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4143/...d0700dbe_o.jpg http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4101/...7144ba4e_b.jpg ^af'd and no tc for the last one. |

This thread has so many unbelievable photos in it. Wicked. Sadly, my contributions are hardly mind-blowing... but, what the hell... http://www.borlandstudios.com/pics/swan4-final1.jpg http://www.borlandstudios.com/pics/bird1-final1.jpg Can anyone ID the bird in the second pic? (Sparrow? Swallow?) |
Something new from my side of the world. I am not sure what they are, but beautiful colors! Enjoy! Setup: 7D + 500mm F4 L IS http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4086/...4d9eb848_b.jpg http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4113/...dbb81c62_b.jpg http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4113/...daef2e7e_b.jpg http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4148/...db59ef29_b.jpg Thanks! |
I went up to Squamish today with my father for some quality time as they say lol. I learned a valuable lesson... I want bigger lens :( I heard these two chuckling right across the street from the Brackendale Dyke but I couldn't zoom in close enough. http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1092/...eda93560_b.jpg Then I saw this guy just walking along the side of the road in Ladner. http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1184/...17f4fbd6_z.jpg Senna, I envy you so much as you have wicked equipment and awesome skill. Before I go back to Squamish in 3-5 weeks from now I guess I'll have to dish out the 500 for a 70-300mm VR |

Really like that last shot Euro! Really nicely done! I wish i had more transportation to get myself around the outer parts of Melbourne. One thing you will learn is that there is never enough focal length for birding. Just gotta work with what you have :) A great setup for birding that isn't crazy $$$ is the Sigma 50-500 OS i've seen some great shots taken with that lens. Take a look! |
Thank you! I'll have to look into getting a longer lens. I followed three Eagles today. All over Deas Island and River Road. I finally got a decent bald eagle shot... Still not 100% happy with it but I'll take it. I was like 20-30 feet away I think? http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1212/...c6907453_z.jpg I really want a longer lens!! aaargh! |
