Goddammit, I totally forgot I had a meeting with my financial advisor at 11am tomorrow! I'll probably head over to BB after.

The new Canon 200-400 with the built-in TC looks promising. Sounds like my new Abbotsford Airshow lens!

I know! So much house at my house!

N.V.M. 01-28-2012 03:32 PM

well, after shovelling the driveway(for her), i made my way out to the holy bird land. i was freezing by about 12:30 or so, so i didn't last too long. i never warmed up from doing the yard before i left.

anyways, i took most of these with my 1.4x TC , and i think i'll only really use it when there's a lot more light(max detail).

YES!! I've tried this a few times but can never catch them. The ones near my house come at random times. Maybe I'll catch one or two this year.

Awesome photos!

This is what I saw today.

Boostslut 02-08-2012 09:35 PM

Red, where did you see the Sandhill Crane?

NVM, nice pictures overall. I've never been a huge fan of flash in bird photography, but your exposing nicely. Keep it up!

Went shooting at Iona in the rain today. Didn't see alot, but rain always adds good atmosphere to an image.

Yes!

I'm bird watching/photographing this very minute. There is a Red-Breasted Sapsucker, a pair of Downy Woodpeckers, one Northern Flicker and I saw a few Varied Thrush as well. The Sapsucker won't come close. Maybe I should put some fruit out to lure him in! heh
I love having a forest for a backyard :)

I thought it was somewhere else, but they are pretty much always hanging around biting at your ankles!

NVM, one of your best images! Beautiful all around!

N.V.M. 02-11-2012 12:58 PM

i bought 80' of 3/16" steel cable and stretched it between two trees in my backyard. so far, i've got a hummingbird feeder, two feeders full of seed, and a couple of suet cages on it. my first bird with my 70-200 f/2.8:
