Just a heads up that I was walking Traboulay PoCo Trail yesterday and there are tons of people photographing pygmy owls at De Boville Slough. https://goo.gl/maps/HeBq8n6myBw |

Bob the Pygmy Owl proudly shows off his friendship with Bill the Vole (Bill is shy, therefore he refused to pose for the camera and never looked up - like he was playing dead). Their friendship transcends the boundaries of the usual predator/prey relationship. Bob takes Bill out on regular aerial excursions to satisfy Bill's curiosity and also some jealousy of Bob's ability to fly. You can see how firmly but gently Bob is holding onto Bill with his right talons so Bill doesn't fall to a gruesome death. It's a beautiful thing, really! :) --------------- - Canon 7DmkII - Canon 600mm f4L - 1/125 sec, f4, 1600 ISO https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1450/...ce48d0b4_b.jpg_88A1807 by Jason Kazuta, on Flickr |

I think I've captured a vulture soaring in the sky near Harrison Hot Springs, British Columbia. At first I thought it was an eagle, but the wings are different. https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1638/...0e2927_o_d.jpg |

My buddies parrot loves ripping apart candy canes, followed by yelling at the top of its tiny lungs. https://c1.staticflickr.com/3/2884/1...0e6ae0e5_b.jpg[url=https://flic.kr/p/jHoK4A] |
