Where's the Mandarin Duck? I haven't gone out to see if it is still around, or if it was ever here.
I'v been hiding at the house and watching the birdies come to the backyard. Sooo much footage of several pileated woodpeckers devouring the suet

the 500mm is almost ready to ship back to me from Ontario, so i'll probably put the 100-400mm ii away for a while. i'll probably keep the 7D2 for the summer but when the fall comes with dark days again, i'll probably get rid of it. it's biggest flaw is shooting anywhere around the 1000 ISO mark. anyways, here's a few more little guys.
got my 500mm back from repair in Ontario. so the 100-400 is gone and i didn't get hit with too much of a loss. anyways, took it for a spin yesterday, seems to function properly.
Spring has really brought the birds around my neighbourhood in Richmond the last few weeks. (4 road and Bridgeport area). Noticed two eagles around the school that never had this turf before, as well as about a month ago a bunch of wood packers have started coming around. Last fall our neighbour cut down their overgrown evergreen tall shrubs, shame because the amount of hummingbirds decreased a lot
Not a great vid but they sure can get angry sometimes with their little clicks if mia’s in the backyard. Why won’t it upload in 1080p?
