Thanks guys, that was with my bigma. I waited 15 mins for that guy to jump out of the tree. I tend to shoot those a little looser because its hard to tell which way and how far they will launch. I hate clipping wingtips on shots I wait so long for.
Boostslut - your second shot is a juvenile bald eagle. They change to black/white after about 2 years I believe? good angle on him, must have been low down?

I enjoy photographing birds now that i can with a decent lens. I'm sick of seeing ducks and seaguls. Where do you guys go to take decent pics of better birds in the lower mainland? Thanks! 
That Eagle was pretty low down and i could walk up on him to get a decent shot.
