Regency Toyota.

I went in to look at the white Celica they had on their lot, and the first thing the salesman told me was that it was COMPLETELY clean. no accidents, nothing.

Well, it wasn't. I was driving it around and the car would stall while it was in gear at 2500 rpm. The shifter was really shitty and hard to throw into gear, and when we went inside to check out the ICBC reports, there was over $7000 in claims.

I ran.

I went to Glenoak Ford to check out the 2003 Mustang GT they had, the salesman told me that Mustang GT will handle and accelrate faster than Supra, NSX and RX-7.

When I went to Victoria Sport Utility(car broker), the salesman told me BMWs are the most reliable cars on the road.

Another story from Victoria Sport Utility...the salesman told me that 2001 Integra had $8000 damage because the car had completely new rear bumper and paint...no other damage. I was like...$8000 for just the rear bumper and paint???

Just about 2 days ago, I went to Acura of Victoria for the maintenance, while I was waiting I was checking out the CSX they had. The salesman did not admit that CSX was based on Civic.

An '03 GT? That's pretty funny.... maybe he meant that it would handle and accelerate faster than a gen I Supra, a written off NSX, and a regular 1990 RX-7. Then again... none of the above cars are even in production anymore..

Not really a stupid quote but a stupid attitude. Back in the days when i was drving my MR2, I drove my friend to the Mazda dealership in Richmond Automall and he was looking for the Miata for himself. As we approached to the one inside the showroom, an older Chinese salesman came to us and told us Not to touch the hood, it's too expensive for you guys. Me and my friend was like wtf we weren't even doing anything to that freaking car. So we decided to leave calmly. Get back to my car, back up to the parking spot right infront of the showroom's opened front door, and did a nice long burn out. Good luck touching up those rock chips on that Miata while choking on my smoke

Errr. doesn't that show that your attitude was just as bad or even worse than the dumb salesman's attitude?

went to the lexus dealership with my dad to see the rx330 they had

my dad doesnt know a whole lot about cars, i was was asking the questions, explaining to my dad, etc etc

Me: what kind of awd system does this have?
salesman: the normal kind?
me: what do u mean the normal kind? does it have part time and full time awd?
salesman: theres no difference
me: (trying not to laugh - but let out a snikker and smile anyway) are u sure?
salesman: yeah, its the same thing
me: actually, no it isnt. would u like me to explain the difference betwen full time and part time awd?
salesman: ohhhhh, u mean... yeah, no, i getcha
me: so then u wouldnt mind explaining to my dad here how it works
salesman: uhh sure. goes on for about 5 minutes - but the jist of it says this: part time awd is on all the time for normal daily driving, and full time is on when u need it most, like in snow and on dirt roads.
me: actually, u got that the other way around. full time is on all the time, since its "full time" and used for daily driving.... and part time is on when u want it to be, for rougher terrain.
salesman: so u know your cars i see.

we ended up buying it from another lexus dealership - bought the ultra premium package for lesser than the first dealership was asking for the trim package one under the ultra premium package

we asked him if there were any accidents, and he replied, if you check under ICBC, it would show "totalled - Rebuilt", but only because it was stolen. any time a car is stolen, that's what it would show.

Hahah

Funny thing is
Long time ago
I bought a Turbo Eclipse
and the Salesman didnt even know it has a turbo.
Until I told him

So I basically paid the price of a NA Eclipse for a Turbo Eclipse.

haha would this be the blue S2K at City Gate in Vancouver? :P I went there with a friend and the salesman said the exact same thing to us about the S2000 on their lot

[edit] I had a salesman at the Mazda dealership on Hastings tell me that the Protege dominates the World Rally Championship races in Europe; even beating out the imprezas and lancers at the time (around 2001)

at lougheed acura, some sales guy started to mock vw's and started to praise acuras. He then said, "nothing can't beat a tl like this one that is well made from japan." Unlike your jetta that's made in mexico...I was like "ummm, it's made in germany, if you look at the vin it's wvw not 3vw. then I was like hmmm, made in japan eh? "so if this 'well made car' was built in japan, what's this 1 in front of the vin number for, or is that a wierd looking j?" he shuts up and goes away....idiot....
