that's awesome,

anyone try it at Planet Hollywood?

I've done it at the Bellagio and PH. PH I was upgraded to a vista from the hollywood hip room.

Bellagio was only upgraded to a fountain view, but I picked a bad week to go.

Bunch of reviews from people who were successful.

I'll be going for the first time as well and I'm intrigued with this "$20 sandwich" thing...

Can someone enlighten me? Tried going a few pages back and to no avail.

Cheers

Tried it @ ARIA with a 20 and got a higher floor + strip view. Definitely worth a shot.

I did it there a few years ago. Upgraded to a strip view suite with a huge bathtub and living room.

Done it at PH, sans the $20. Ex just asked if they had any complimentary upgrades and we got a resort vista room from a hollywood hip, just like blum2001 :fullofwin:

yep same results as everyone else. Bigger room, better bathroom and better view at PH. I can't remember but the bathroom had a separate room for the shitter which was nice lol.

For Aria, they usually give you higher floor+strip view if you ask.
Just ask for $50 upgrade to junior suite. It's per night, but you get jacuzzi, tv in the bathroom, a LOT bigger shower area, even bidet, panorama view, additional fridge to store your own drink(in room drink is such rip off!) and better bed.
Definitely worth extra $50 for upgrade if you ask me. Oh and no, $20 sandwich won't work for junior suite upgrade.

Has the prices to vegas gone up?? Im checking from alliegantair website, for 3 nights in may, for two people at hard rock casino (cheapest I found on the strip). Its $1300 total!!!!! Whatever happened to it use to being $250 roundtrip + hotel a couple years back? Or should I be looking at a different website.. you'd think it would be cheaper flying from bellingham, not the same as YVR.

sonick 02-28-2014 09:02 AM

US economy recovering, markets are up, the ballers are partying again.

Just guessing.

vafanculo 02-28-2014 09:53 AM

When u guys go down there, I really suggest signing up for a time share. Most of the gifts are wack, but, if you go to the venetian, they will give you 3 nights stay at Venetian next time you go to Vegas. You gotta attend a BS 3 hour sale presentation, say no a bunch of times and your room is paid for. I signed up for it last year and just came back yesterday from it. Gonna do it every year lol

Edit..you aren't buying one..just attending the sales presentation

What time of the week and year are you looking at? 1300$ pp sounds ridiculous. Are you sure there's no major show or convention going on? I just booked last night for Apr.21-26 Monday to Saturday @ Luxor normal room with King Bed no Showtime Transfers (cuz they blow and it's cheaper and faster to get a cab) and it was 350$ pp then toss in your fees & tax etc 800$ for two people. I've been to Vegas nearly 10 times and have flown Allegiant Every time and have never paid more than 500$ pp even for weekends.

Does the $800 include airfare or just the hotel for 6 days?

I'm guessing you booked one way from BLI to LV and one way back from LV to YVR?

Looking to go on July 5-july 8 for 3 nights with 2 other buddies. Don't mind the Bellingham allegiantair route. Would prefer 2 rooms (1 w/2 queens and another with a king) cuz one guy snores like thunder and no one can be in the same room with him. Stayed at Aria during last visit and was very happy. Probably looking at the same type of hotel.

What's my best way to buy flight+hotel for the best deals? If its even possible, we can all stay in 1 room that has another bedroom in a bigger suite or something.

I was just in Vegas last week and I went on the High Roller (the ferris wheel)
It's pretty cool; got some great views of the strip. My friends and I went during the day as we were already at that part of the strip and it's cheaper during the day (25$ Day 35$ Night) The ride is 30 mins long is actually pretty cool it's 550ft. tall so you get some pretty wicked pictures. We walked right on didn't wait in any line and had the pod to ourselves to only 4 people. Place will probably go bankrupt soon haha!

Overall I'd say it's worth it as an experience. Likely wouldn't bother to go on it again though. Here's a pic from about half way up.

Thanks a million. Just got a deal at Aria for $95/night + 2 Free Buffets for my July trip. Now lets see how far a $20 sandwich can stretch at the front desk.
