has anyone gone to vegas in Jan, i have my air booked from Jan 21-25.
Hows the weather, i know it gets chilly/cold at night, but hows it during the day?? (ie sunny with a breeeze, rain).
I might stay at the golden nugget, anyone know if there pool is gonna be open it does say seasonal, but at the same time its a heated pool. So i dont know if they will just leave it open and heat it up for guests.

So i dont know if they will just leave it open and heat it up for guests. | I went this past January and it was cold at night. Not freaking bubble jackets + scarf cold but definitely long sleeve + jacket cold.
In the day time it was alright, wasn't really hot at all. When I was there for sure it wasn't walking around in a t shirt weather but a thin jacket in the day time was fine.
VeeDubya - Stayed there last time I went. Hotel isn't too shabby as it's newly renovated. The rooms were decent looking but I found them way too small. Location of the hotel is also fairly solid although not the best. Overall it's a decent hotel especially since the price is usually not too high. I think you'll like it.

They will hand you a coupon book when check in.
lots of coupons you can use in their restaurants.
Also rented a car for Grand Canyon/Hoover Dam for 1 day trip.
Suggest you book a car online & get it for airport.
Alot cheaper than rent it at the hotel.
That's Avis in Planet Hollywood but expansive.

Anyone know of any good deals on hotel/flight packages, from Vancouver or Bellingham, to Vegas for a group of 15 in late January?

Anyone else here going to Vegas for New Year's?? Me and a couple buddies are planning our trip? Anyone have any tips as well if they've been there before on a new years weekend? (Good spots for the countdown etc)
Also if anyone has had any experience with bottle service at XS and LAVO, if you could share your experience that would be awesome!
Thanks in advance!

Thanks in advance! | I had bottle service at both those clubs last time we went. We found the service at LAVO was a lot better. Our bouncer was constantly bring girls to our table. It was pretty much a girl or 2 for every guy at our table lol. At XS, it was basically just a waitress there to pour drinks for us and get us stuff when we needed it. So I guess at LAVO, it was a little something extra plus the usual bottle service. In terms of the club environment, XS is definitely better.

Yes, it will be "ass-packed" and the buffets will be a bit more pricier than usual. Oh and for dinners on Christmas, I believe you have to dress up.

For those of you who always goto Vegas and rent cars, who should I rent with? Any of you guys have car rental coupon codes I can use? I'm heading down to Vegas from DEC 14-17th and will probably rent a car since I want to drive to the outlets and stuff.
I've tried using HOTWIRE.COM and got rates as low as $18/per day for a compact. Wondering if I can get anything lower or same price but a bit bigger car.
Thanks in advance guys!

Thanks in advance guys! | If you're just cruising up and down the strip, just get the cheapest. Mid size (intermediate) usually isn't that much more so if you want a bit of comfort, spend the extra $10 or so they charge for midsize and get that. $18/day sounds like a pretty decent deal though.

^walk the strip during the day and find promoters to get you guys on the g-list. might have to pay the promoter a tip but it's better than waiting in line for hours. or you guys could pay the bouncers...but expect big money since everyone is going to want to get in.
bring hot girls. that helps too.

just talk to a bouncer at the back of the line, and if the cover is 20, just offer the bouncers the same, they will take it, unless you look like an idiot.

when i went there, they wanted like $50 a head to get into the club if not more i was pretty shitfaced dont really remember. Also u have to wear dress shoes to get into the club. The dress code is super strict there. I think u should hit up Tao or XS for clubbing but u should probably go there early. The lineups are super long b4 the club even opens. Went to XS 30mins early and got in there pretty quickly the lineup is huge but the clubs are enormous they can hold a shit load of people.

cirque du soleil mystere at Treasure Island
Tickets cost me $114 CAD per person for Category 3 seats.
We wanted guaranteed tickets so we paid the extra money.
Anyone tried that 1/2 price ticket place?

^tao was probably my favorite but pure was equally amazing. we got treated like freaking queens there. probably harder for the poster though since he's a guy.
the only club i'd sugest staying away from is christian audigier's club. worst club ever.
