I double checked the allegiant site for you. Luckily both your flying days have the same price for all the flights on those days (not always the case). If you were to take the Allegiant package, stay at Bally's instead of CC. The cost of taxi's alone is worth the extra $20 and there are more options for shuttles in that area, plus it's more central along the strip. The exchange rate is excellent right now so I suggest you transfer/buy US asap. $320CAD vs. $202USD (approx. $210CAD, today) If you leave early and return late, there shouldn't be any border lines and you can drop into the Duty Free before you cross, coming home. Parking IIRC is $9USD/day. $640CAD out of YVR (more if you get a more central hotel) VS $425CAD incl. parking + border wait (if you stay at CC) $470CAD incl. parking + border wait (Bally's) $170 - $215 difference...up to you. |

Now I know the price flying out of Bellingham is a lot cheaper vs Vancouver but if you don't want to drive here are some price as of right now off of expedia. Circus is ghetto first of all and I would never stay there in a million years. There are more hotels but I'll just list a few that I would stay at personally or have stayed at before. All price are per person and includes tax. Flying out of Vancouver Feb 8 - 11 Ventian - $375/person (Good hotel with decent location) Luxor - $271/person (Not the BEST hotel or BEST location but it's ok) Caesars Palace - $317/person (Awesome location and awesome hotel) Mandalay Bay - $352/person (Awesome hotel but bad location) Planet Hollywood - $298/person (Awesome location and decent hotel) Aria - $365/person (Staying here in a couple days but it's the newest hotel in Vegas and awesome location) TI - $303/person (Good location and decent hotel) FYI Circus Circus is only $235/person now on expedia. |
Great bang for your buck at Caesars, winson. I would love to stay at Aria on my next trip, just to check it out. |
I loooooooved Vdara, which is part of the new City Centre complex. It's like a bachelor suite. Good for those who enjoy some time relaxing in the room. |
thanks i decided to save some money and purchased 2 tickets last night to stay for 5 days 4 nights at Bally's. Cost total of $450.xx usd but cost me about $400 usd cuz my friend has a credit with allegiant. =D I will be trying that $20 trick and hopefully it'll get me a free upgraded room. hopefully i made a good decision and won't regret saving a little bit by driveing down to bellingham. |

EcLiPsEbOi - The drive to Bellingham isn't that far at all but for me personally I just want to get to the airport and leave and when I come back I don't want to land + spending time driving back + possible wait times at border. But to each their own. I think the main thing you might regret depending on how much you care about your hotel and what your own standards are is the hotel itself. Either way as long as you have a good time. Enjoy mang! |

#1 - You're in Vegas, more then likely you will be in your room to sleep and shower so as long as you have a clean bed and bathroom you don't give a fuck. #2 - Read above except regardless of it being true you still have standards that you will follow by. Not to say going with option #1 makes you a low standard person or anything. I'm #2. yes I will only be in the room to crash for a bit and shower but I still want to be in a nice hotel and nice room. Being in a nice one vs a hurting one is a different feeling and experience too but to each their own. Either way have a great time yo. |
does anyone know how vegas weather is when they predict it to be 40-60% of rain and cloudy. Does that mean no sun at all on those days, cause im going on the 21st to the 25th and the weather looks like crap. Ive been to vegas numerous times but mostly in summer and late spring. I know its gonna be colder and what not, but it would suck if theres no sun, since i kinda needed a break from our winter and wanted some sun |
I'm heading to Vegas for the first time...same for my friends, we're all psyched, the food, the gambling, the attractions... we're gonna try to do it all... I was wondering if anyone had success with the 20dollar trick and got a nice upgrade? http://www.thetwentydollartrick.com/ for those who don't know what it is... |

hey is the las vegas city center done ? |
going 28th-31st any one know of any good nightlife events happening? I just saw stratosphere has a bar offering all you can drink for $20 from 4-8pm =) |
Stratosphere is a dump and at the very end of the Strip. I recommend going just for the rides, especially the x-scream! (sit in the front if you can!) |

Tons of people were successful with the $20 sandwich, as reported in the FatWallet forum. |

mickey - too late now but it will rain. I just came back yesterday from a 4 day trip in which the wheather predicted the same and well I felt like I was in Vancouver and when it wasn't raining during the day it wasn't really sunny either. So just a very very quick review of Aria. As I was approaching from the distance in the taxi I can clearly see Aria and the entire city centre and it looked pretty nice and got me pretty excited. As I got out the car it at the main entrance i was pretty impressed so far just with the look and the water running down all the side walls and stuff. Walked in it and the lobby was big and ceilings were high and everything was brand new as expected. However, the overall feel and look once inside the hotel just didn't wow me. Yes it was all brand spanking new but just didn't really do it for me. The room itself was new and tidy but once again didn't give me much of a OMFG this is out of control feel. However, the sweet thing was the functions in the room. Everything can be controlled on either the TV or on this touch screen frame on the night stand beside the bed. Everything from openign and closing curtains/blinds, to room temp, to lights, to setting an alarm etc. It sure came in handy when I didn't want to get my ass up off the bed to turn off the light or open blinds. In addition instead of the usual thing you put on your door handle for DND it's now an LED display where you choose what you want it to say from inside your room. Now everyone knows that each hotel has one 24 hour cafe of some sort and on the first night we didn't have a choice but to eat at Aria's due to the time. Hands down one of the worst meals we had. We got chicken wings, steak and poutine, callamari, and a steak sandwhich. All steaks were ordered as medium rare but all came in the form of well done in addition to it being burnt. Chickens wings were flavourless, and the callamari was avg at best. Normally I would send this back without hesitation but due to us arriving in Vegas late with everyone being tired and starving we just scarfed it down as we waited a while for the food anyways and didn't want to wait any longer. I mean overall i found the hotel to be decent. I mean it's nice, has everything you need, and is in a good location so there really isn't much to complain about. However anybody who's looking for a baller experience will leave dissapointed. Of course this is different for others, if you're used to staying at freaking Imperial Palace for example this will rock your socks but for the avg person it's new but fairly normal imo. Probably post some pictures later when I finally decide to upload my pics. |
^ Ya, post some pics when you can bro :) I wanna stay at PH next tho. I'm too lazy to search it up but how are their prices compared to other hotels? Per night $, food$ , etc.. how's their casino lol if you gamble. |
Gonna go vegas in february... anyone have any VIP host contacts for Tao, XS & Moon.. planning to go to those clubs and get bottle service. |
i love the smell in aria's lobby haha. Stay at Wynn, best hotel ever in vegas |

As for gambling at Aria the tables $10 minimum and up. I don't recall seeing any $5 at all. The casino isn't special as it's pretty much just like any other really. Has all the standard games etc. The casino definitely wasn't busy compared to all the others that's for sure. Food wise I only tried their 24 hour cafe which sucked balls and a sports bar with your typical burgers etc. It was ok but nothing special by any means. I also read horrible reviews on their buffet and every time I walked by it was fucking dead. The hotel itself was very busy in terms of guests but all their hotel stuff like restaraunts, casinos etc were NOT busy at all. People obviously went to ones at other casinos instead. |
