in vegas, you have to 'pay to play' so to speak.

$300/person bottle service is the norm for XS but you're paying for the current hot spot. Any other club would work out to be half that price/person. The reason why XS is so pricey is they have very a very high minimum charge for table service. Demand outstrips supply as they only have 100 or so tables and 300-400/night reservations on the weekend. If you do decide to get table service you should go through a pro vip-host as your table is guaranteed vs. booking through the hotel.

Earl of Sandwich at Planet Hollywood (mall area) on the Las Vegas Strip - Literally, the best fucking sandwich you'll ever eat in your lifetime. Try it once and order either the 'Original' or 'Montagu' and I'm sure you'll be back the next day.

We were there on Saturday using the 24 hr buffet pass. The seafood was mediocre but my buddies would have 2-3 plates of crab legs. All I remember was they had killer shrimp. That buffet floor is huge, way bigger than a mall food court like Metrotown. This buffet had more selection, way more than the other buffets we went to previously such as Caesar's Palace and Planet Hollywood.

So it looks like I am going to Vegas again Aug 5th to 9th. Any deals to be found?

Flights on Allegiant are $176 USD per person, not too shabby.

Booked tickets for Aug 21-24! So excited, staying at Planet Hollywood. Any RS'ers down for Vegas strip club meet?

Can you see the 2nd person's fare is actualyl discounted? I tried it out but could only see the total vacation package fare, how could I tell if the 2nd person's air was really free?

Greenstoner 07-14-2010 10:21 AM

planing a trip to vegas in Oct. My freind always grab their ticket thru expredia (simply the final price is what you're going to pay, taxes and fees were included). I suggest her to go on Alligaint but she said the price doesnt included the fees and taxes..

is there a way to calculate the fees if im bookin thru alligaint air ??

the ticket we were looking at thru expedia from 3 days 2 nite during Oct flying out from belingham for CAD $325.00 taxes included (Treasure island)

W2K 07-14-2010 10:46 AM

@ STi-K
Came to about 75x$ total for two people basic (no seat selection, baggage etc). Keep in mind for this deal you have to book a flight hotel package for 3 nights min.

@sonic
If you select actually 2 nights flight and hotel, you can see its actually more expensive compared to staying 3 nights. IE PH for my days 2 nights and flight were around 44x$. Staying 3 nights I got it for 37x$.

@greenstone
You have to select ur flight and go thru all the screens till near the end where you see the flight price total. Keep in mind they automatically add some bus shuttle ticket, seat selection fee, I always make sure its not selected.

3 days and 2 nights is not enough time for a real Vegas experience. 4 days and 3 nights is probably the ideal time to do just enough. Anything longer than that is pushing it. By the 4th day, guaranteed you'll be exhausted.

For a first timer ya, but once youve been there twice, you only need three days max, and just roll no sleep!

orange7 07-15-2010 12:02 AM

^
totally agree..

4 days MAX
3 days = good

dunno why some ppl want to go for 1 week for their first time.

sonick 07-15-2010 10:36 AM

FYI PH has 25% off 4-night stays until the end of august! Great deal, $357 for 4 nights in a room! With Allegiant Air you can stay 4 nights for ~ $350 USD per person!

TheSalesman 07-15-2010 12:07 PM

^ is that 357 each?

Per room. So if 2 people per room, that's like $179 per person for 4 nights!

Edit: just tried again, looks like the rates went up or something, now showing $432 total.

TheSalesman 07-15-2010 01:56 PM

i just did it too. It really depends on what days you go. I got it down to 299 for 4 nights!!
150 each! damn thats cheap.

sonick 07-15-2010 01:59 PM

Nice, what dates did you enter? Were they weekday or weekend rates?

TheSalesman 07-15-2010 02:00 PM

sunday - thursday type thing. Saturdays don't seem to get the 25% off.
