The airport parking lot is $9 a day. There's one at the uhaul on the road leading to the airport that is about a 15 minute walk that is cheaper.

2hrs prior is when they start check-in. The airport is small so security check is fast, if you really had to I would think you could cut it as close as arriving an hour beforehand.

Leave at 3hrs earlier to be safe. Border guards can be dicks and make you come inside the office and wait to check your passports. This happened to my buddies and made them wait an hour. Luckily they did leave 3 hrs earlier and still had 1.5 hrs to spare before check in at the airport.

What hotel is preferred in las vegas? Would the new Aira be nice? Looks like it would about 500 per person, for 5 nights. Will be driving to bellingham airport and going directly to las vegas. Everything is included in this package (taxes too)!

Aria is the only hotel that I did not go to.
I went to all the other ones like bellagio, Venetian, Wynn/encore, mgm.
I think I will try Aria next time.
500/person for 5 nights including flush is ok.
How many of you going?
Do you play poker?
Poker players get the best deals at the Big hotels.
You can stay at Bellagio for $99/night on weekdays and I believe $129 on weekends. Aria has a poker rate too, so if you play....call the poker room first to get the details.

^^ the only disadvantage for those upper class hotels like aria is that it only has a king bed, and I am going with 2 familys with 8 ppl altogether, so we want to minimize the price. I think I might the Paris Hotel now, since it is more reasonable price with 2 beds and it is newer than most hotels. And im only 19, so i cant gamble yet. Oh well :( Im mainly going to see the shows and try out some of the hotels buffets. And possibly shop at Fashion Show mall. Any recommendations for buffets? Is the shopping at fashion show mall pricey? Thanks for your opinion Simon!

venitain was nice and the rooms were big

winson604 09-18-2010 05:16 PM

I stayed at Aria when it opened in late December. I was not impressed and will never go back again unless it was the obvious deal to take. There wasn't exactly wrong with Aria. However, there wasn't exactly anything making you want to stay either. Food (although I didn't try everything) wasn't great, the location although not that bad seemed a bit shittier only because the main entrance was tucked inside and not facing out towards the strip, and it just didn't have that nice Vegas vibe to it imo. What I did like were the rooms were a little different from the rest of Vegas. Everything is controlled electronically via the TV or a frame beside the bed. Controls everything from lights, TV, to blinds. Certainly a decent touch but nothing I would stay for as really, how much time does anybody really spend in their room while in Vegas.

My thoughts are if Aria is the cheapest option out of all the other decent hotels and not just by $10 or $20 then by all means stay there. But if it's pricier then some I would choose something else.

hal0g0dv2 09-18-2010 07:10 PM

^^ yeah i have herd mixed reviews about that hotel

VeeDubya 09-18-2010 08:42 PM

I found that the Aria hotel had too much of a "sterile" feel to it.... No character.

TheSalesman 09-18-2010 11:58 PM

They don't have 2 queen beds? They should....
Maybe try planet hollywood! They have a really nice room with large washrooms with dual sinks and even a seperate toilet. Planet hollywood also has a decent buffet. If you get the buffet pass which is good at about 7 hotels I believe? PH has the best food compared to the others with the pass. They also have a really good little sandwhich shop and a shopping mall too. I would still say go to the premium outlets which you need to take a bus to. On the bus, I'v seen signs of steak and lobster for like $10 but have never tried it. Maybe you can try and let me know. lol. I also had some steak breakfast at harrahs for $6 bucks or something but it was horrible. You can skip that. Venetian also has a pretty good cafe in there which is 24hours, grand luxe cafe or something? PH is also a pretty good location being almost right in the center of the strip. Have fun!

You can do that at all the buffets.

What we did was go to the Wynn buffet around 1/2 hour before dinner service started.

Sat down and had some drinks and some small appies and talked until dinner service rolled out :mamoru:

TheSalesman 09-20-2010 08:33 PM

There are a few buffets where you can't do this because they close for a couple hours between lunch and dinner. But I just can't remember which ones right now.

The 24/7 cafe inside Harrahs was pretty good

There's also the Ellis Island Restaurant that is 24/7 (Behind Bally's) and they have a steak & potatoes + beer or root beer for $7

Ate at both places and they were good for late night eats

fa1civic 09-20-2010 10:33 PM

kk thanks :)
