Vegas hotel recommendations

Hey guys,

I'm going to Vegas again, but I need some suggestions for a hotel, either on or off the strip or downtown. Any previous experiences with hotels would be appreciated, thanks!

Venetian is pretty new and the price is not bad. Bellagio is overpriced in my opinion. Mirage is old.

I woudlnt worry too much about the hotel you stay at, seeing howyou'd probably be out and about most of the time in vegas anyways.

i would pick something more central on the strip since most of the hotels are within walking distance...i've been looking at packages and the imperial seems to be one of the cheaper ones and it's right across from caesar's palace...another one that's decently priced is the excalibur...like someone said, it doesn't matter which hotel you stay at because you're not going to be in your hotel much except to sleep and shower, save your money for the casinos or shopping

Check out the Wynn. That place is ridiculous, and is brand new. Has a Ferrari/Maserati full service dealership and one of the world's best golf courses attached to it.

Imperial Palace isn't bad for what you pay for.

1) it is most central.
2) you will only be sleeping there.

Well, we'll be renting a car, so it doesn't matter if we'll be staying on strip or off strip. Does any one know of any good ones off the strip or downtown?

Thanks.

If you have the use of a car then go to Arizona Charlie's off the strip. Very clean and only $40 US/night for two King beds. Its great for two couples or a family. Their breakfast is $.79 per meal. LOL...

i've never been to vegas with a rental car, so i've always just looked for the most central location with the best price. bally's, and mgm grand have always served me well, though mgm is a little out of the way, though they are developing that end of the strip quite well. imperial palace is easily the best bang for your buck.

I was in Vegas in September of last year and stayed at the Monte Carlo. It was very nice and reasonable.

If you don't mind spending a little extra, The Venetian is a good choice. The rooms are spacious and nicely decorated, service is excellent, and its located in the middle of the strip. If you're on a budget but still want to stay in a fairly decent hotel, I would reccommend Bally's. It might not be the most glamorous, or biggest, but its cheap, the rooms are decent, and its located dab smack in the middle of the strip. My personal reccomendation would be the Paris. Its very moderatley priced (about $150-$200 a night), excellent architecture, lots of attractions, big casino, a bumpin nite club, and its located in the early/middle part of the strip.

Your rarely in your room or even at your hotel for that matter. The cab is your best friend, we just cab it everywhere, screw walking. The lineups for cabs look long but they go so fast.

Depends what you want to do.
Are you a baller? Are you looking for party atmosphere? Relaxing?
etc,etc,etc.

My views on all the hotels I visited.

MGM = Nice hotel. They always screw up my bookings. Service levels are ok. (Iv been there 3 times) Lots of asian people there. They suck at comping free stuff.

Paris = Nice hotel. Bit more pricy. Screwed up my booking as well. Higher priced tables there. Good to take the significant other. If you are going with a group. Get the VIP tickets for the club, online. You will be treated nicely at the club. (Been there twice)

Hard Rock = Love this place. Party atmosphere. Pit bosses, dealers really encourage having fun there. Nice hotel. Been there once

Alladin = Nice hotel. They really suck at comping. Service is good. I dont remember much of this hotel. I havent been there since they first opened it. Since, I havent gone back. Im pretty sure it wasnt to my liking.

My favorite hotel would be Hard Rock.
Everybody should try going to Hard Rock if you like to party and have fun.

I agree with quasi, why spend the money to stay at Bellagio when you're hardly even in there.
Most people are out all night anyway.
I stayed at the Flamingo Hilton when I was there a couple of years ago and it was pretty cheap (2 queen beds for like $70 a night)
Not sure how much it is now.

The Wynn opened at the end of April. It's a nice place, good size poker room too!
