The insider selling wasn't too much though, I still think ROZ still has some legs to go.

soymilk 11-08-2010 04:16 PM

What do you guys think or Uranium? UUU and PDN has done pretty good for me

I must ask why you think mgm has potential?

mgm is a company that is highly leveraged with the majority of it's assets in the USA. Before you talk about MGM in Macau, take into account that mgm is in the process of spinning it out and listing it on the hk stock exchange. You couple this with the fact that oil money almost walked from the city center development and you still think it's safe?

The US gambling market is in the doldrums and will continue to do so until employment picks up. Book a trip down to vegas and look at the crowds, aside from the kids partying you do not have a lot of gambling.

Macau is a different beast altogether. I spent time at both Macau and Singapore over the summer and the tables were busier than vegas but no where near the hey days of when the US casinos first entered Macau.

Fun fact - the venetian in macau was paid off within it's first year of operations which led to the massive build up for us casinos and macau ops.

Chairman of Sands has already stated he wants him company to derive the majority of its revenues from oversea/asia operations. Best to bet alongside Sands and Wynn

NVT looking verygood

NVT is doing great. They're sitting on a good pile of cash which should last them for a bit. The guys running it are proven mining guys and the stock is currently doing nothing. Best to get on this boat before the stock starts to move up with their impending news releases

just remember past performance is not a gauge for future performance.

The singapore and macau assets are great but singapore and china are really hammering down on its own residents squandering their savings at the table. Singapore instituted a $100 tax on it's own residents gambling inside Singapore casinos as a form of discouragement. China Govt officials were caught losing boatloads of money at Macau (losing their peoples' money). Inside these economies with heavy govt hands, the govt can change its stance very very quickly. Look at the Marina Bay Sands lease and operations agreement with the Singapore govt. Look at what the chinese govt is proposing to do with the amount of trips its citizens are allowed to make to Macau in a given year.

is it too late to jump on to this $1 dividend payout?

subordinate 11-08-2010 09:57 PM

Looks like UUU will close the acquisition by the end of 2010, so I assume you can still buy UUU to get the $1.06 dividend payout.

They will likely announce the date of payout.

Oh yeah,

Watching GMV & ROZ tomorrow.

What's happening with GMV/ROZ tomorrow?

subordinate 11-08-2010 10:55 PM

GMV - big land holding in Guyana near various current gold mines. Undervalued at 10 million market cap.

ROZ - last minute volume action today, may continue on tomorrow. & Large insider buys today.

rb 11-09-2010 05:56 AM

Tempted to get in on ROZ.

Very disappointed with MER. Starting to run out of patience

waddy41 11-09-2010 06:28 AM

What would be considered good?
Is there a site where I can learn about the basics of the mining industry?

subordinate 11-09-2010 10:37 AM

Nice buy civic.

Welp, I'm all out of ROZ warrants, the commons just felt toppy, although it looked promising in the early morning.

subordinate 11-09-2010 12:02 PM

Holy sell-off batman!

I picked up some Horizon's Bear Silver ETF late in the day, hopefully we see a follow-through into tomorrow.

waddy41 11-09-2010 12:24 PM

I'm hoping that SVM has awesome earnings and it gaps up tmr....so i can quickly get out..

no_clue 11-09-2010 01:08 PM

anyone here interested in GM's IPO?
will start at $25USD per share.

Most of its debt gone, good revenue in emerging markets like China and Russia unlike Ford.
However their management team is still questionable unlike Ford's CEO

oooh snap is this the start of a correct? or just a dip?

SVM posted good numbers but maybe that has already been baked into the price...

subordinate 11-09-2010 09:56 PM
