hopefully this is just a dip....
i'm quite exposed right now...

gdoh 11-10-2010 07:05 AM

my 2 favorites KIA and NVT are doing good again this morning =]

rb 11-10-2010 08:32 AM

I've been looking at NVT since you first mentioned it. Unfortunately, I'm pretty tied up in MER

xxxrsxxx 11-10-2010 10:15 AM

does anyone know if the markets will be open tomorrow for both Canada (remembrance day) and US (veteran's day). I know that some US companies don't "recognize" veteran's as a day off so i'm unsure about the market.

gdoh 11-10-2010 10:22 AM

both open

waddy41 11-10-2010 10:39 AM

No doubt about it. With the way the markets are advancing these days (print more $$ Ben), it is going to be a great Christmas for a lot of people. I am going to invest in a sick ass computer next spring, which was not a part of the plan this Summer lol.

waddy41 11-10-2010 02:27 PM

i almost shiet my pants yesterday afternoon
i almost cried this morning
and then i was smiling when the next round of POMO was announced....

i guess everyone pulled their money out at the end of last round....and put their money back in when the new one was announced....thanks goodness for ben

shawnly 11-10-2010 04:21 PM

Tmw should be interesting as CSCO just got butchered on their earnings, definitely will drag DOW and S&P down. Should be a good time to grab discounted longs for a swing during the POMO.

LOL, sounds like you have too much invested man.

BRB...Going to punch myself in the face for selling CIN.V at .24......at .58cents now.

waddy41 11-10-2010 09:20 PM

lol i know what you mean...i regret a lot of my moves lately...MER, GI, DNT
If I had hung on they would have doubled...but I sold too soon =(

Why is CSCO's earnings so significant?
XOM, SVM, AUY, AAPL all beat expectations...

strykn 11-10-2010 09:37 PM

Take a look at cycc for the next couple weeks, couple nice catalysts should run

CSCO is a component of the DJIA as well as the S&P 500 and it's down about 13% afterhours; coincidentally if you look at when CSCO tanked in August it seemed to mark a temporary top in the market up till mid/late September

CYCC yep, definitely agree that there is a nice return potential, updated data on the clinical trials that originally sent the stock to $4 last year around December/January

subordinate 11-10-2010 11:10 PM

Maybe on the us markets, it'll be red, but I'm thinking the Tsx/Venture go up tomorrow.

Commodities are mostly green right now. Gold/Silver/Platinum, etc, up.

Platinum's up 23 dollars......If you can wake up before trading tomorrow and find a good platinum stock, you could probably flip for some good change.

waddy41 11-11-2010 12:15 AM

Ya I'll be up tmr morning...but I gotta do some research on Platinum before I dive in...
also I have no CAD left... =(

CT10 11-12-2010 06:02 AM

anyone watching btr.v?

I got it at .236 and now its making a nice run up :)

rb 11-12-2010 07:37 AM

wow BTR really took off, congrats

mr_chin 11-12-2010 08:50 AM

Damn, wtf is going on today? TSX down 1.9% and TSXV down 2.1%. All commodities are going down by a large number.

hirevtuner 11-12-2010 10:15 AM

its worry about China inflation

waddy41 11-12-2010 10:40 AM

hopefully this is just another head fake...and hopefully POMO will hold or boost the market...

It appears China won't raise their yuan value and is taking advantage of the US inflation. Damn selfish chinamen.

Carl Johnson 11-12-2010 12:25 PM

What credibility does the U.S. have like accusing other nations of having undervalued currencies, when the FED essentially has a devaluing policy of their own? I find it quite amusing.

waddy41 11-12-2010 12:25 PM

I sold my other part of CAN today...overall I broke even on CAN, which sucks for me because so many RS members made a killing on it

I will buy back in when the SOC fiasco is resolved..

how often do you trade?
I'm guessing you do not buy and hold stocks

waddy41 11-13-2010 08:37 AM

quite often..
part of my portfolio are super longs and another part is for swing trading...then an even smaller part is for speculative holdings, mostly junior miners
