does anyone know if the markets will be open tomorrow for both Canada (remembrance day) and US (veteran's day). I know that some US companies don't "recognize" veteran's as a day off so i'm unsure about the market.

No doubt about it. With the way the markets are advancing these days (print more $$ Ben), it is going to be a great Christmas for a lot of people. I am going to invest in a sick ass computer next spring, which was not a part of the plan this Summer lol.

Tmw should be interesting as CSCO just got butchered on their earnings, definitely will drag DOW and S&P down. Should be a good time to grab discounted longs for a swing during the POMO.

lol i know what you mean...i regret a lot of my moves lately...MER, GI, DNT
If I had hung on they would have doubled...but I sold too soon =(

Why is CSCO's earnings so significant?
XOM, SVM, AUY, AAPL all beat expectations...

CSCO is a component of the DJIA as well as the S&P 500 and it's down about 13% afterhours; coincidentally if you look at when CSCO tanked in August it seemed to mark a temporary top in the market up till mid/late September

CYCC yep, definitely agree that there is a nice return potential, updated data on the clinical trials that originally sent the stock to $4 last year around December/January

Maybe on the us markets, it'll be red, but I'm thinking the Tsx/Venture go up tomorrow.

Commodities are mostly green right now. Gold/Silver/Platinum, etc, up.

Platinum's up 23 dollars......If you can wake up before trading tomorrow and find a good platinum stock, you could probably flip for some good change.

Damn, wtf is going on today? TSX down 1.9% and TSXV down 2.1%. All commodities are going down by a large number.

It appears China won't raise their yuan value and is taking advantage of the US inflation. Damn selfish chinamen.

What credibility does the U.S. have like accusing other nations of having undervalued currencies, when the FED essentially has a devaluing policy of their own? I find it quite amusing.

I sold my other part of CAN today...overall I broke even on CAN, which sucks for me because so many RS members made a killing on it

I will buy back in when the SOC fiasco is resolved..
