^ 7Seven was talking about CAN way back when it was like $0.30 so I can only assume he bought somewhere at those levels. Congrats btw.

Is it sheltered in anyway? Are you doing any tax planning?

Thanks for sharing....

What brokerage are you guys using? I've gone through the majority of this thread and had a few questions... If anyone would be willing to PM me and help out someone new?

I've googled quite a bit but would prefer results from someone local who's got some knowledge... many of the links posted earlier on in the thread don't work (from 2006 lol)

I maxed out my TFSA with CAN at .10 and again at .48, so a good chunk of it is tax free. The rest I'll just pass to my accountant to figure out along with the drawer full of bar receipts for business lunches for him to figure out lol.

I think a vegas trip is in order for us next year. Too bad a certain someone can't come with us lol.

And I can vouch for 7seven when he said he bought at his price. He started telling me about CAN over beers when it was in the $.40's. Canaco will be paying for my Ducati next year

Nice trade on CAN 7seven. I'm curious as to whether you are still in MER because I noticed a nice pop and a steady decline now.

Not currently holding MER, I sold that on the news, but will be looking for an entry point again as the results are solid. A lot of traders playing this one, not investors.

CAN $4.99, so close to breaking $5

ya it's been brutal lately

i don't see winter affecting it at all...other than maybe slowing drilling on the last two holes...if they can get that done they they are great

the NTL should be announced next week (not that it's going to change the SP much) then in March/April when the EA and fesability study comes out with all the results then we'll see the big jump and a buy out come

what did you get in at?

i dont mind the wait as long as i don't lose money...
my ACB is $.777/share

I'm loving AVR right now but I don't understand the intraday price action lately..
The HOD occurs in the first 1 or 2 trading hours...then stays flat and drifts down a bit for the rest of the day..

ya i can't imagine loosing money on this one...it's touted as having the largest deposits in canada

i'm in at .77 too.....i was gonna pick up more but i dumped it all into BCG (in that for quite a bit)

i'm hoping this is an early CUU/CUM etc where it will run huge

my hopes it that they start announcing more news on Engineer mine and if they got some news out on one of their other mines it should run pretty good

this will be a long term hold

CUU should be golden by Spring time

Canaco drills 48.6 m of 14.81 g/t Au at Magambazi

2010-12-06 06:30 ET - News Release

This item is part of Stockwatch's value added news feed and is only available to Stockwatch subscribers.
Here is a sample of this item:

Mr. Andrew Smith reports

CANACO INTERSECTS 48.6 METRES AT 14.81 GRAMS GOLD PER TONNE AT MAGAMBAZI-MORE RESULTS TO COME

Canaco Resources Inc. has released drill results from its Magambazi gold discovery located in the Handeni region of the United Republic of Tanzania.

Infill drilling has focused on delineating the high-grade shoot component of the Magambazi main lode, downdip extensions to mineralization and possible extensions of mineralization to the south. New results received include:

* 48.6 metres at 14.81 grams per tonne (g/t) gold (Au) including 16.8 metres at 41.51 g/t Au and 8.4 metres at 80.90 g/t Au (MGZD096 -- section 60,480N).

These compelling high-grade intercepts provide further confirmation of the continuity of grade and structure to a high-grade core, or keel zone that has been indicated from previous drilling along strike. This flat, plunging high-grade core appears to occupy a specific location within the Magambazi mineralized body, and drill intercepts in this zone typically contain elevated amounts of visible gold.

I believe they are beginning to work with RIM or so I hear

I'm holding
AMEX: CPD right now
glad it went back up, should I sell? They just received an offer from Sun Pharma Global to go private but there are so many legal complications with that :S
