Guess a further drop would be a good time to add as the strategic acquisition to expand Schaft Creek seems to be good news and that the drop may be associated with the delay in the release of resource estimates by AMEC

fmmfl.....

edit: is this drop b/c the resource estimates are probably lower than expected? Otherwise I don't see why they would hold back the results..

I think CUU dropped is because of this.

Quote:
AMEC has advised that the resource estimate originally scheduled for completion at the end of March has been temporarily delayed.
Good thing is that the FS is still expected end of June.

Quote:
The re-sampling and additional diamond drilling proposed above would not affect the completion date for the feasibility study on the Schaft Creek deposit which is expected to be completed either by the end of June or early July.

SiR, it's not because it was lower estimate. They were having inconsistencies in the Silver estimates.

Quote:
Copper Fox is working with AMEC to resolve database issues identified during the data verification. AMEC have established there is an inconsistency between the silver analysis of core samples analyzed by Asarco, Hecla, Teck and Copper Fox over approximately 60 years of exploration on the Schaft Creek property. The inconsistency in the silver concentrations may require that the silver content of the mineralization not be reported in the pending resource estimate which is expected before the end of April, 2011.
I was looking into the Teck buy back option and read into this.

It's on the front page of CUU website. If Teck chooses to retain its 75% interest, they have to spend 4x CUU expenditures. If it's $50 million, it's $200 million. I couldn't find the total expenditures by CUU so far.

Best Buy is a death trap. I hope no one on this board is this junk stock. Last time I was at the Metrotown location, store was dead empty, lots of old inventories they will have to mark down significantly. Not surprised with the stock's performance.

anyone into RIM?
they're shooting out their quarterly earnings report today. i wonder how that'll go

Quote:
Research In Motion (NASDAQ:RIMM), the maker of the Blackberry smartphone, will be in focus during the session, as participants manage their positions ahead of its scheduled quarterly earnings report after the close. RIM is expected to report on average a profit of $1.75 per share on revenue of $5.63 billion. Last quarter, the company posted a 6% upside earnings surprise after reporting a profit of $1.74 per share. Research In Motion closed last session 4.41% above calculated support at $59.38, the stock faces resistance at $63.24.
on a side note,

CUU climbing back up again.. 1.90

Seems like "panic selling" for CUU is over, price was pretty stable at 1.85, now it's at 1.90

Anybody playing ACN into earnings after the close?

I don't think RIM's playbook is anything special to be honest. There is just too much competition in the tablet market and RIM's got no pricing power. Stick with leader like AAPL. Ipad 2 will be almost shipping worldwide before RIM even have its first tablet out the door. That says something.

yeah, thats what i think too. its just that there were so many mixed views that made it interesting to keep RIM on my watchlist.
im lucky i bailed out right before the market closed, in the green.

might be a good rebound play though

not looking good for RIMM...

makes you really wonder why they're revising their outlook for the next quarter if the playbook is coming out..
are they not expecting it'll do well?

That's a huge question mark

RIM is a dog

ipad 2 is already out, their tablet, which has been full of problems isn't even out yet - at that, input costs are way higher than they were a year or so ago when ipad came out, so their margins are getting squeezed

i got out ages ago at $66 - hate that stock, love apple (for now) - i think the iphone's days of majority rule are short lived, but they have a lot going for them and today with a great valuation

I "luckily" got out of rim at $57, which quickly tanked down to $45 shortly after lol

Lmao had I still held onto RIMM I'd still be green at this point, I wonder what this will mean for Funtalk who may be going private, they were trying to get RIMM in China IIRC

Anyone buying RIMM on the dip?

Was looking into buying CEC. I was cheap and hesitated pulling the trigger and buying it at .40. I wanted to buy it at the .30s. Now it ramps up to .52.

CUU back up today. 1.94

Seems to have settled down steadily this week which IMO is probably better. Holding about 5000 shares myself :/ Kinda wanna get out of it and put that money into CUU though or something safer. OPL has some solid tech but I honestly don't know enough about alternative energy to know whether this is a safe play

Damn what happened to NVT?

i'm not in it for the solar, i'm in it for the chip

i hope the thought that with the way techonology advances so fast, that they won't sit on the chip for too long and that they'll sell it quick

once that happens i'll put all the money into CUU (depending on what point it's at) or throw it in to something else
